Any Navara owners on here upgraded their springs. A front spring fractured today and the rear springs are s**t anyway (too soft) so thinking the old man emus all round with firmer springs and associated shocks, I carry about 300kg of tools in the back constantly plus the hitch weight when towing anyone else used them or other recommendations- common problem with this era Navara

Didn't nissan I change/improve the springs halfway through on the Navara. You might be able to just buy the newer ones

My '68 plate' Navara is still on it's original springs and seem ok at the moment. But will be interested going forward as to what options are about when it's time replace/upgrade them ;)

Never seen one towing a trailer that isn't speed boating 🚤
Yep mine occasionally does this, but usually when I have too much crap loaded in the back of the Navara. So try and keep the nose weight sensible on the trailer(s) ;)
Mine you, before the Navara I had a Disco 2, then Disco 3 base and a Disco 3 HSE. I loved the air suspension 'cos it self levelled perfectly what ever was landed in the truck and/or trailer 😎

On my old ranger I had two tyre valves by the tow bar and just used my M12 Milwaukee pump to adjust them every now and again, I just use to set them to 15psi. They do automatic kits that use a small sensor that you set to desired ride height and the on board pump deals with the rest

I broke a front spring on mine last year. Apparently quite common - as it is on all modern cars.... Metal isn't what it used to be. Replaced it with genuine as it was available and I had an MOT coming up. The rears are too soft with anything in the back, but the 19 plate upwards have a slightly taller and heavier duty spring which does help a bit. I keep meaning to upgrade mine sometime but to be honest the truck will be worthless in 18 months time when the tax man decides its a car so will have to get something else anyway.
Its lasted this long, probably keep going for another few months yet.

Excellent, I could do with another trip to BikePark Wales. I had it ceramic coated last year and it does scrub up well, which I've just done today as its Chelsea starting tomorrow and we cant be seen in a dirty truck for that! I still love that truck, maybe not as much as my previous D40, but it is a lovely thing to drive and I have no idea what to replace it with if I'm honest.

Anything that you could replace it with will be mega money new. Seen isuzu have an EV dmax starts at 60k and widely impractical for distance unless you do something like sub 40 miles a day towing and has a low charging rate. North of 40k for work vehicles is just ridiculous, problem is I need 4x4 every now and again and no 3.5t gvw 4x4 capable vans can tow 3.5t and pickups you can't claim aia not sure if EV is a way around the aia but again none suitable and just mega expensive

Can't the iveco tow 3.5t. not really much help as mega money and not the best pay load.

Had a sit in a land cruiser commercial at the dealer the other day. Absolutely lovely but at 57 grand is a bit steep when a Hilux should be doing the same thing. Same engine now and everything.

The iveco can tow 3.5t but their 4x4 version is the "mini mog" and only available in 5.5t or 7t flavours the drop side/tipper looks ace but mega money, couple of years ago started around 70k

Just been looking at the brochure it appears there is a chassis cab in 3.5t

I know they are about as 3.5t but wasn't sure if they had been downgraded from 5.5t. if that is the case then they wont carry a lot.
For the cost of some of these things now you could have a nice galvanised chassis defender for the odd off road job
