sometimes theres no choice but its telling you its not a good spot :) looks above your intended invert
was about to say similar ..... no point trying to install a soakaway in a pond ... just ain't gonna work
but as I said about Russ's groundwater problems yesterday - we ain't seen it this bad/high in a very long time and it has no where to go :(

No choice Kev :rolleyes: but it's next door but one to us and I know that the water table is usually no higher than a metre or so in this area. So all I can do is blame the "Poxy Weather" :ROFLMAO:

Mind you it didn't help that I pulled out about 5-6m of old clay land drain pipes. No longer in use but the water was pissing out and filling my hole.
Still it's for a neighbours new workshop/shed and it will have to do....

This area (East Anglia) is supposed to be the driest in the UK. It will dry up and then we will have heatwaves. "Poxy Weather" :ROFLMAO:

That Troll is my 'new' mascot. I had an old Action Man on there for years :cool:

heatwaves sound awesome right now ....feels like it might never stop !

saying that im glimpsing what more free time looks like and its not all bad :) buggering about in shed like you semi retired types :)

talking to Russ earlier, his yard at home is flooding constantly .... has pumped it twice and it's ground water coming up out the ground .. can't get shot of it ...... ground is absolutely saturated :mad: :mad:
Seen photo of Tewkesbury yesterday looks bad

Yes. Saw that one. Interesting that even though Dartmoor was one of the wettest places in the UK in January it says compared to it's normal average it's not far off whereas Hampshire and Dorset etc have had way more than they'd normally get.

lashing down, accompanied by gert snow flakes in amongst it 🤬
dry up late evening and -3C overnight .... roads'll be lethal in the morning .. dry day tomorrow followed by more of todays/'s evening's sh1t again overnight :( :mad:

after the beautiful shirtsleeves day we had Wednesday, we've not seen the bottom of the garden, let alone the sun again .. dark, dank, foggy as ****, weather to slit yer wrists by :mad: :mad:
's a bout time we saw some improvements :mad::cry::cry:

Stunning week till Thursday night. Pissed oy down all night and dried up late Friday morning. Dry ever since but heavy fog this morning that's not cleared.

been very still all week, with an exceptional amount of air traffic over us all week too .... can't be helping the 'atmosphere' at all :mad:
