I was quoted £8200, plus the buckets took it to just over 10k..... and that's the basic version, so manual hitch as I understand it

Not much more the ss9 version which has hydraulic bottom hitch and can switch between tilt and different function.
Biggest problem with all the tilt rotators is the cost,even the smallest one with full proportional system is literally over the half the cost of a new 3t digger and not far off the cost of a brand new micro or 1.5t digger
Can't imagine the catsu to be massively cheaper either

Nobody buying an ec02 should be contemplating a control system IMHO.
8k to save connecting another set of pipes! No wires to rip off on mine either.

It's not given me any trouble, but i haven't used it a huge amount, and I don't have much experience on other similar sized machines! But it feels very strong, auto idle is nice, it's very fuel efficient and I absolutely love using it.

The control system though would cost quite a bit more if it was done if the mainstream brands. As in the £7500 engcon is the most basic 4 piper as I understand it.
Like the Sany thread I think the Chinese might struggle for a while to find their place in our market. Either they are silly cheap and regarded as tat or they are comparative in quality but then if they become too close in cost people will usually go for the mainstreams- understandably.

I wouldn't but price wise it's more realistic, you have to remember it's less than 50% of what the full dc2 2 pipe version of the ec02b is

If I had a machine that was a bit tired and only had one auxiliary line, I'd consider taking a punt on a 2 pipe chinese tilt rotator for 5k, especially if there was a firm that could install it for me and offer a bit of back up. Maybe good business opportunity there for someone installing catsu tilt rotators?

Id imagine it would bump at least 3k to the price, engcon are £1900 for fitting the dc2 and rototilt are £1800 both prices direct with independent fitters probably being more expensive for total costs. There is no UK dealers and very little in europe, so backup is pretty much non existent, that tom was selling the easy tilt versions and their 4 pipe system was over 8k at least two years ago

Excavators/attachments are all about backup, downtime is when you really loose money, initial outlay is what it is, but when your in the middle of a job and the hitch won’t open or falls off then your in a mess, guys stood around, concrete on in the morning etc etc! That little saving can be blown in a day!
