I have said this before, words from a wise man.
When thinks go bad you can always still sell quality. You can’t give s**t away.
The real question is, 5 years down the line, will you still have the dealer supplying parts or will they be dealing on the next new shipment.
Personally, I would rather a secondhand 2 year old Kubota than a new Sany

Does the bobcat have an additional weight pack or just as standard? Think the bobcat has a wider track base than the Tak which probably helps a bit too
Extra counterweight and as you say a wider track frame on my old E27. The Tak edges it slightly on stability, but I expected it to be night-and-day better due to its extra bulk and big arse. The Bobcat is a very good all-round machine in fairness (just needs AC now really!).

Bobcat E27 doesn’t look that different, its compact radius. But it lifts well and is just as planted as a TB230 according to @Monkeybusiness
Just comparing paper spec between a E27 and TB230. With the additional counter weights on the E27the Tak has a slight edge over the side- but not much- however the bobcat with the blade down over front has superior hydraulic lifting capacity. Let's have a look at Kub 030 out of interest. Paper specs aren't always accurate mind you, don't know how they really work it all out but gives an idea

Have I missed something but what about yanmar ? Popular with ARB lads and they arent easy on kit ..
The offset only goes 45 degrees to the left on a Yanmar. Not the end of the world for some things but so much of my work I end up looking out the door when I'm working- getting in close to a ditch etc. I guess I'd get used to it after awhile but I hired one once and found it most annoying!

Likely that the Yanmar could be the most planted of all of them though. it's a proper tail swing, can have additional weight pack to and is 1550mm wide- 10cm wider than my taks.

@Storrsy yea I have a 26-2, 2 year old and 2068 hours. I have no complaints in terms of what she will lift etc, lifts far better than the -1 did. To be honest she will lift more than our ex30-2 ever could

Approx 750kg steel

Not sure if I count her as being able to track and flail or not, when you do track it gets slower, after maybe 40/50ft it will more or less stop. I never found this an issue as I only ever had to track a few feet at a time and it was fine for it, and never had a good run where I could set it and just track and cut so wasnt really something I needed to do

There isn't 10k between the sany and the competition. Sany sy26c is somewhere around £25k, I had a price for a JCB 26c with twin aux, hitch prep (was going to transfer over my hitch and buckets) was 29k with interest free and including 3 services
Maybe he didn't consider a jcb as the competition

We have sold plenty of Sy26 and they are fantastic tbh…. Never had a breakdown, one of the customers got the additional counterweight .

For reference a 2021 with 2000 hours just made 15k at euros……….. depreciation isn’t a problem. Heck it's only just out of warranty. We sold 3 year old sy26s last year for 20k, had guys from Ireland Europe and UK interested.

They are the third largest manufacture of construction equipment in the world all within 40 years. With desires to be number 1 and I can't see why they won't be. They are hungry, innovative and they are backing the UK and Europe with good teams etc. We have been dealers for a year now with machines out there for that time. It's been a great experience so far to be honest . If you can get people to actually look at them properly they buy.. biggest thing is perception but that's usually hear say or maybe they jumped on one of the very early machines etc .

Btw you can also get 0% finance over a short period or low rate over longer

I like mine but tracking does frustrate me sometimes it doesn't share the flow well but overall good. The upgraded version is definitely better in the cab
