Don't get me wrong, I do that too! When the bench is full, I just push it off to make room to put more down because I'm in a rush. When I can't walk over the floor without breaking an ankle- then it's time to put it all back in a cabinet!

I once visited a fabricators in Cwmbran - (RCP - no longer operational - Ron, who I knew well, sold their site for housing), with the 30 Demag and had one of my guys t'other end loading cabins with a 25t .. had time between trucks to wander about --
opened the ped. door into their 'main' fab shop and couldn't believe my eyes .. had to clamber over/around/between years of shite/offcuts/bits of jobs/scrap/whatever .. just to get in - the rest of the shop was the same ... said to one of the guys 'trying' to work in this tip " how do you get anything done in here and WTF hasn't the factory inspector closed you down? " he said that Ron didn't GAF so why should they and that Ron 'deals' with the inspector on the very odd occasion he shows his face
never seen anything like it before or since .. the 10 acre yard was the same - sh1t everywhere - some stacked maybe 30 ft high

No, we always just put fire doors on the habitable rooms and make the hallway an escape route..

Dominique from the quarry managed to wizz in 40t and a couple of 10's myself meant we could cover up the terram and crunch in the base layer before the weekend, literally got in the truck to leave as it began a biblical downpour that would of ended play ... result

Spent yesterday digging footings for extension at front of house, ended up soaked and ran out of light for last part. Back at it today and wishing I’d bought a breaker for the e10 after spending half a day breaking out old concrete from porch with screwfix special. Ended up soaked again but managed to get rid of most clay and rubbish. Couldn’t do this every week!

I know lol wanted to use the ditcher but it was stinking and wasn't prepared to clean it out. The Avant would have been perfect but needed the wacker and only have 1 big trailer. 2 gypo camps nearby so not leaving anything about

So mixed at present:-
Negative points

Radio doesn't work properly.
Drivers seat slopes forward doesn't seem to be adjustable.
Vents don't do a great job of clearing moisture.
Verrrry bouncy ride.
Lack of storage.

Positive
Great turning circle
Tows well.
Tipped well today for 1st time.
Had internal tie down point fitted great addition.
Great mirrors
Easy to park.

Yep, also kitchen and lounge. Bathrooms don’t count . Just need to put in FD30’s & frames with strips in. No hassle really, got used to having to do it now!

Clearing out the back of a farmhouse, doesnt look much but you couldn't see the garden for brambles.

I thought about those type of cabinets but eventually decided on just spreading s**t out on a bench

Or the gravel floor. My bench is a bit like that game show 'Tipping Point', eventually stuff going over there edge. Things are improving with an end of year tidy up and a couple of garden sheds

No paid work today. Took the E19 over the hill to my home village. First job l- a scrape back and reprofiling of the bank to the drive for the church ready for when we install a steel handrail.

Then sorted out the allotment. Done nothing with it all last year. We have a kid on the way and the missus will be giving up work so she will have a lot more time to devote to it plus it’ll be good for the kid to be outside a lot. So I gave her a clean slate with the digger in around an hour! Scraped off all the rubbish, levelled out, cut the path sides back and gave it a good chisel ploughing with the ripper.

Sure got some jealous looks from the other plot holders

Now back to the yard to unload, put the e19 back in the barn for another couple of months and change implements on the alpine ready for next week.

Tilty is a godsend as usual, even on a tiny machine. Avoided the few plants she wanted to keep and got all the angles from the middle of the plot nearly. I’m at the stage now where if anyone asked me to drive a machine without a tilty I’d just laugh at them…
