My boy didn't sleep for 3½ years worst was 14 times in 1 night!
Then 1 night lying in bed waiting for him to wake, he just slept all the way through like someone flicked a switch
Urgh don't. I'm still suffering from PTSD (past trying to sleep disorder) from our daughter. Just started to drift off then whahhhhhh, settle her down back to bed lye there in anticipation, sleep starts to come and then whaaaahhh again! As the working one I ended up a lot on the sofa during those times!

Huge congratulations @doobin . But don't think for one second that kids and free time can be used in the same sentence 😆😆

Only one thing id do different, id definitely have had them younger, for the simple fact that I think the tolerance levels were better😁

Congratulations @doobin.
Mine are 37, 35 and 12. Different times and for the last one a different wife. I would say that my first 2 had a different me compared to the last one. There is no right or wrong time, but there is different times. I am immensely proud of my 2 oldest and what they have achieved. My youngest is getting a better education than my first 2. Will that ultimately help or hinder, only time will tell!!

This mornings first job was to get out to site to rescue the 70plate Movano. Lad was working Saturday and about 5pm it wouldn’t start. Parked in akward spot and blocked in by customers cars. Said f**k it and just left it there and gave him a lift back to yard to use a spare.
This morning we dragged it out with Dmax. Battery’s showing 11.4v but dash dead . Jumping/boosting could get battery upto 12.44 but still nothing on the dash. Tried pull starting as well , but nope.
Hooked it upto the towing bar and hauled it Garage about 10 miles away. Poor Harry hasn’t been towed much before and it showed. Once I was up to 40mph I could feel the 3.5T shoving the back of the empty Dmax about as he wasn’t great on his braking technique.
5pm and It’s just turned back up in the yard all fixed. New battery. Apparently it’s new enough/clever enough that it won’t even try to start if it senses a knackered battery.
70 plate with less than 40k on it , sad to see it needing a new battery allready :-(
Can’t fault our garage for sorting stuff out quickly

Also to be aware with some of the PSA vans is that they have a memory and if you muck it up jump starting them or various other jobs then you have to take all the panels off to get to the battery, take the leads off and hold them together for 30 seconds. This drains any residual charge held in PCB components and allows it to start again.

Thanks for this. Dave at the Garage said similar earlier. Basically disconnect battery for a bit to fool it. Older model of Movano has battery in passenger footwell so actually quite a sensible place for it. Newer model has it under the cab floor.

Not my normal sort of work- finding a leak in a water main, and not my normal area- I'm in Surrey!
As always, working for other people is frustrating 😆 🤣 Good lads but it always seems to be hurry up and wait! Probably be on site 6 hours but do 2 hours work, it's not how I like it but seems to be the way of the world now 🤷🏻😬

Been out on the flail harvesting heather seed. Gonna put the duals on tomorrow for some steeper bits though!

Then gave my mate a hand to fit a shiny new s30 hitch to his brand new digger!

Went easier than it could have luckily, bodged it together with the pipes from CPS that came with the hitch and the pipes that came with the machine. With a bit of tidying up and some stauff clamps on the tip links I don’t mind that manufactures routing as it happens. Don’t think he will bother with a manifold at the bottom of the boom, and the whole pipe could concievably be made in 1-wire 1/4” rather than thermoplastic as there are no tight bends. So he’s happy, I’ve leant him a couple of different style buckets to see which he prefers before he orders a set.
