won't use it :censored::censored:
so how would one add additional storage, if needed ?
I can access a lot of my pix on 'Bucket, on line, but everything else is kept in house, on HDs including a huge pic archive, etc.!!

see their connection is via a 'lightning cable', which presumably with a suitable plug/skt, t'other end, could connect to an HD/stick/etc.??
its possible to use lightning cables with many different connections usb r type a b or c to connect to usb sticks or storage devices although i have never needed to if you have a reasonable internet it should work fine by wifi and bluetooth i have found but we have a good internet strength here in town obviously some locations have poor signal , is there anyone local to you that maybe uses an ipad you could try or at least run through one with you. i am no expert but found them much easier than an android or windows phone. if i get stuck i use a search engine ask the question and mostly get workable answers, grand kids ar helpfull in that respect as well. when i realy fck it up my son gets me out of the mire, he is an it tech at the local school and really makes me look a dinosaur.

mine does not have a sim card or even a slot for one, the only cable i use is the apple charger cable, mostly i guess it connects through bluetooth to the wireless modem, i can download stuff straight to it so presumably i could send stuff as well there is a attach files tab i could use, i am no expert on how it all works mainly self taught, this post is from my i pad i normally just use desktop for planttalk.
's all I use too for everything - big screens, proper keypad and mouse - hate laptops' mouse with a passion ... the modem connection will be wireless LAN - blue tooth'd be for h/phones or phone/earbuds

so lightning cable is just Apple's own version of a USB type of cable - two way comm.s with ancillary gear / sticks / HDs / etc. (y)

sorry for all the Qs, but never had anything to do with any Apple products other than my 80gb iPod, which I've had for many years and is a total PITA to try to upload additional files to now, as my original iTunes software is long gone from the desktop after a HD crash.
There must be a way to recover what's on it to a new iTunes re-load, but need to know what you're doing or what's already on there (severeal thousand tunes) will get wiped:mad:

ipad is handy i can use it outside diagnosing cars etc or taking decent photos of how bits fit together etc mine only is 64gb but it is plenty for what i need so many apps are available for so many different things it does get confusing my first ever ipad was an ipad mini years ago when it stopped being able to update to the current at the time operating system i changed to my latest one. it took me a while to be comfortable using it right at the start but i shunned technology and even mobile phones for most of my life it still amazes me what can be discovered or learnt online truly a learning experience for me.

forgot to say yesterday ... when they weighed me into the A&E on the 6th july, I was amazed to see 85.6kgs on the scales :oops:o_O ... weighed me yesterday and much to Pam's chagrin I was back down to 79.4kgs (my usual average 'fighting weight' , these days) :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
" How the hell do you lose 6+kgs in a couple of weeks " she says:mad:
" easy - Pancreatitis "

when I had my first 'episode' in 2010 I went into Nevill hall at 13.5st and came out 10 days later at 9st 8lbs - looking like a Biafran refugee

my iPod lives in my 'tool' box, these days, connected to an old 'stereo' for music whilst I'm in there or at the bench :giggle:
have learnt how to load music to my phone for in the car, but that has a mind of it's own as regards replaying files in any semblance of order

I appear to have entered the realms of 'proper internet connection' :giggle::giggle:
have had a cellular router sat here since I had my 'short break' in Hereford, when it arrived by DHL.
wasn't what I'd been expecting, spec. wise, or what had been agreed would be supplied and have been 'discussing' that fact since, but after a long conference call this afters with my cell guys (who I've been with for pushing 40 years) and their 'tech team leader' we've come to an 'arrangement' to give it a try and have to say big grins at this end (for now - see how it goes):giggle:

this is ten+ times better than the best I've ever had on landline BB

been on an open ender with what was SWALEC, then sold to OVO, for many years - just sold out to Utility Warehouse, who I have no desire to be 'connected with' so wanted to get it sorted 'fore their take over on the first of August

There's a site I've been looking after with a defunct pole we were eyeing it up with saw in hand the other Saturday ... discretion won...that time. But be a nice clean fell 💪🏻

On the corner of my patch there was a pole that was no longer in use as the folks and the neighbours have gone air band. Last one on the line . It was in my way so I picked it out with a hired brand new 2.6t Case which was a bit sketchy - nearly dropped it on the cab . Wire pinged off so I rolled it up and chucked up in next doors hedge.
Kept the pole for some future gateposts

well it'd be nice to be able to get back to doing a few things to write about Rob  ...
had a sh1t day yesterday ..
spent most of the day 'resisting' chucking up and keeping the pain killers down - I'm hoping that it was the remaining stone 'transiting' naturally as AJ and the rest of 'em are hoping for too.
Might see if I can't persuade 'em to bring the MRI forward to see if it has - will give me some peace of mind and stop 'walking on eggshells' !!

Pam'd go ape if I put my 'work clothes' and boots on ATM -
and I'm getting pretty bored with sitting about doing sod all, or moving about like a cat stalking its prey - very carefully!!
at some point shortly I am gonna have to get the mowers out - the overnight rain we've had the last few nights is making that green stuff raise its head :(
to say nothing of the various stuff I want to get on with, especially with all this nice weather to stand at a bench and enjoy. :giggle:

woken by my phone at 08.15 this morning .... " Hereford hospital - surgical SDEC - why aren't you sat here in the waiting room ? "
" er -- for what? Not had any txt appointment notifications! "
" You have an MRI booked for 09.10 - has no one told you ? "
" no - not heard a word or had any txt. to that effect - very sorry - would've been there if I'd known " :(
" OK - I'll see what I can do to re-book you ASAP "

got a call back at just after ten -
" can you be here for 09.30 tomorrow? - no food from 06.00 "
" absolutely - see you in the morning " (y)

gonna be bloody hungry by then if I don't get up early and have summat  'specially as I'm re-training the digestive system ATM .
rang the radiology appointments desk later on, to apologise for missing the appointment - I wasn't the only one who didn't show this morning apparently - they'd been kicking their heels there this morning!!
seems the system'd thrown a wobbly and no one'd shown up :(
asked who'd booked the MRI, as I knew I was expecting one in mid Sept., booked by 'AJ' - she could see that one and said 'AJ' had booked this morning's too - wanted to see if yon stone was still sat in me duct.
Said 'AJ' must be psychic, as I'd had a really rough day Tuesday and wondered myself, if it had transited, as hoped.
She said, " well we'll see tomorrow , won't we " :giggle:
Txt for this morning's appointment turned up, as I was on the phone, circa 11.15 - date stamped Monday 10.49 o_Oo_O

Hopefully I'll get to see AJ tomorrow too, with a result (y)
assume they'll be doing the full bloods work up again tomorrow, with such an early arrival at SDEC?
Can also envisage getting an appointment sorted tomorrow, for losing me gall bladder shortly, as 'AJ' seemed keen to get it sorted, 'fore I have any other 'episodes'

I really can not fault the care and attention in Hereford.
Will be across the border again, anytime I have any issues -
makes NHS Wales look like amateurs !!
Have had three MRI,s and consultations in Cardiff cancelled in the last 18 months, with no dates/re-scheduled appointments, going forward, at all !! :(
NHS Wales is in a bloody state :censored::cry:

W⚓s couldn't organise a gang bang in a brothel.
the £26+m they're spending on 'accommodating' the extra tossers could be better spent ANYWHERE else 🤬🤬🤬
would fix a few potholes to start -
aside from all the extra salaries they'll all be soaking up like the spongers they are 😤
