Just seen this and was about to post - surely can’t be right? What a mental fine for a paperwork exercise, it must be a hoax! It’s only a 21 tonne machine in the pics so shouldn’t need a moment order anyway.

If memory serves me right there was plenty of cahhhing relatively recently about how amazing a certain company where at shifting oversize.... Likewise I think they had a part in both the best practice for ab escorts and the loader securer tickets.

I saw this and thought it must surely be a misprint!!
It will certainly make some go …..gulp!!!
But unless there is proper enforcement there are still many that will take a chance. I have done a lot of motorway miles over the past few months and the sight of any motorway enforcement was non existent!!
Hard to police overweight by camera!!

There was a MO in place but I’m not sure how or why a different trailer was used. Rendering the mo obsolete.
I read on fb the fine is profit related. Again not sure if right.
I would say for any relatively large firm it’s an easy mistake to make, it shouldn’t happen but it did.
I am sure we have all moved something slightly to heavy or something in our plant towing times . I am pretty sure this was a genuine error which makes it brutal as fines go. And a president set for everybody else

That makes it worse not better.
Look at the photos too. You have a trailer with built on extendable marker boards for overwidth but haven't used them. The 2' bucket is reliant on a chain holding it down (metal on metal on metal).
If it was a man and pony show I'd be outraged. But this is a national firm that has over the years delebratly played the "safety" game to turf smaller contractors out and enforce pointless paid for certificates only they can afford..... Turns out they are just like everyone else.
Hopefully the next move will be to do to other big firm for shifting multiple machines to multiple sites on STGO trailers.....

I’m a bit confused now. That lynch statement seems to say it’s just a clerical error that’s caused it, and that vehicle, trailer and load have been on same route before and been fully legal!?
