Glad to see the concrete in this, best part of 8ft deep footings, 3 grabs of clay out. Little Cormidi tracked dumper got quite a workout.
Back Thursday to dig out another lorry load to lower the middle.
Tomorrow I've got some leveling to do in my field then start the roof timbers for the digger shed. 5.4m 8x2s were about 18 quid each, I thought that was very reasonable?

Was an army base (allegedly) then a Sainsburys depot lorry park (fact, I remember it) 👍
Nice consistent layer of tarmac a few feet down 😆
Mmmmmmm new build lovleyness.. no doubt failed contamination tests so they just capped the whole lot off with 2ft of less contaminated crap!

We did some footings at a house built on old colour works site.. the ground under the capping was literally a multicoloured rainbow!

quite a few around here at various places - fortunately, none in ear shot of here ... one place, they disappear for a couple of months in the winter time and return from God knows where in the spring :oops:
there's a donkey lives at the top of our drive and he's bad enough when he kicks off about 6-ish in the morning .... hell he has some voice o_O

Neighbours of ours at parents in countryside had them after a year or so another neighbour let himself into their night time avery and blasted them with 12 gauge.
Same happened here. We had 2. Male and female. The male was a twat. Would attack you if you weren't paying attention. Got rid of it. Then 2 wild one's turned up, my lady started feeding them.🤪 then neibour shot 1 and the other buggered off.
We still have the original female, makes some funny noises and thinks it's a chicken

Todays carnage

House is very damp so drains are going round it and if we can do it he wants enough digging out the back to but some patio doors in and have enough room for a table etc.
It's in a local village that was built around a series of slate mines, we have been here many times and its always hard going :)
