Airlines set their prices on what the market will pay, not on cost-plus.
While I fly more than my share, I feel no need to give up my economy seat while some oil barron / prince /etc. flys his polo horses around on a private jet (plus all the others - charter jet for a football team, etc.)
Airlines flying small planes have very slim total weight capacity and they do weigh passengers and luggage or they won't get off the ground.
On large planes, passengers+baggage doesn't come close to Max Takeoff Weight, so the airlines are able to fill the remainder with high paying cargo.

Have a read ....it's all totally bonkers. Driving all the LPG up to it etc. FFS just use diesel.
not LPG Gav - LNG - which comes out of oil wells usually and is having to be imported
" One expert on transport emissions told BBC News that if the "upstream" carbon cost of importing LNG from Qatar is included in the emissions calculation, it might be better to run the new ship on diesel. "

So Port Talbot definitely shutting 2 furnaces UK will be at the mercy of any country that supplies quality steel.
The place is a s hole with still too many bodies "working" there. All these people who don't move with the times are the main problem

one very critical statement in this article ....
" Skanska UK engineering and design director Susan Ryall said: “We have been working closely with Tata Steel for the past four years, developing the design and project management solution for this complex scheme "

the closure of the blasts has obviously been on the cards for a minimum of 5 years prior to their ultimate recent demise

Near where I live they want to build Englands biggest windfarm on the moors. If it goes ahead it'll destroy much of the peatland habitat.
It's being done to make money, nothing more.
There is a petition below which desperately needs signatures, if you could do the necessary it would be great. You sign it, use your email address as a return to verify it and that's it.

Once a certain amount is reached it has to be debated at higher levels.
Thank you.
