Type3 mot ( reduced fines) up to a retaining wall… 👍🏼
We have always done them type 1 with 150mm strip of pea gravel against the wall.
Can get 75mm and down clean, will get some of that next, although can't back fill the whole thing at the moment as waiting to hear back on whether got to dig the rest of the retaining wall on at the front and back, so back filling to the top would mean having to dig some back out to ramp back in

I use this kinda stuff against retaining walls/houses..

Means you don’t need to back fill up with pea gravel.. only around the drain.

Did offer to install it, but they only want to reinstate as was originally installed, so just re coating the dpm and pointing a few perps they never bothered to fill when it was originally built

Use a similar product a few months back could be backfilled with the excavated soil.

love the way the yanks have all these purpose built trails for off roaders .... here you'd just get a ticket for riding on common land . 's a BIG country though :cool::love::love:

's a fact (y)
those trails're brilliant ..
closest thing round here, that my mates and I used to ride are the forestry roads, but used to get bollocked if caught.:(

Also used to ride some of the numerous coal tips in some places - again got bollocked if caught ..
Gwent plod used to have guys out on Hodna XRs at weekends patrolling some ..
knew a lot of the plod bikers who rode them, fortunately.
was out one weekend on one - totally out of sight or ear shot - got back to the car and trailer and had a ticket on it for 'parking on common land' - bar stewards - was an expensive afternoon, that :(

that gate and flood defence wall in that town they went through were bloody impressive, eh?

It's been nothing but cold, damp and very grey here for weeks now, travel anywhere local and they're under it, we're in it. Even the dog seems effected and spends a lot of time tightly curled up in his bed. I think if it weren't for him needing exercise I wouldn't go out.

However we drove a few miles further out the other day to find the sun shining, clear blue skies, but also lots of low lying mists everywhere - known as 'cloud inversion'. There were some spectacular sights, but sadly i'd forgotten my phone so below is an old pic.
One woman took to a local village FB page to tell everyone there was a big fire there and to avoid the place
