Yep, was trying to work out why it it had done it parked up with nothing around it, unless it was just dropped off there.

left the PTO in with the pump running and sucked the guts out of it ..... saw a diesel tank on a truck imploded like it once when the breather blocked and the lift pump just sucked it to death

He had just tipped a load of distillery effluent at 80 odd degrees, closed all the valves up and was heading back for another load and in the colder air the temperature dropped inside the tank and created a vacuum in the tank, the tank manufacturer wrongly fitted a pressure relief valve to the tank instead of a combined vacuum/pressure relief valve that was specific. It crumpled up mid transit.

did wonder if it might've been temp. related, but not an insulated tank so didn't go there .....
that'd certainly do it though .... leave an empty 4 pint milk bottle out for ten minutes in the warm, empty from the fridge ... like a drum skin ... reverse effect ... and 80C is some differential, especially with alcohol involved

So would it of lifted the back of the tanker off the ground as he was driving, or lifted the back wheels of the tractor unit up?....and would something like that be instance or would it happen slowly?
