Yes saw that but already have an s45 top/bottom engcon with my name on it, and a steekwrist s45 hitch for the machine on a pallet ready.

The reason I want it under a top hitch is so I can use a breaker and also use a proper grab with the hitch pins angled. Tiltrotators are very limited for full time grab work.
Is there a gripper on that steelwrist one? couldn't see one, or a control system? The one I'm getting has a control system although not sure how complete it is. I'll probably just six pipe it.

I know im like a stuck record about grippers , but you like time saving efficient kit @doobin and gripper is right up there !
ive just dismantled a retaining wall that had leant over (turns out builder had piped topwater from the back of house roof and patio behind it 5 years ago and it finally did for it !!) but anyhow I only had one place to sit in front of the wall and lifted sleepers out of rsj's with gripper and stacked them , spun bucket round and reduced backfil as I went then repeat till it was down, when it went back up it went the same way, even placed and held rsj's with gripper
Honestly the best 3k I've EVER spent.

Saves me no end of time and effort - think you need to have had one for a while to really get how useful they are though which makes them a harder sell I suppose.

I'm guessing on the towable machines they simply add too much weight and bulk to be feasible? Something that puts me off engcons is that I don't think they'd work well with a thumb- which is a real shame.

something I've fancied having a bash at, to attach to my VA-r .. but never seen one in the metal, so not quite gotten my head around some of the design aspects - plenty of pix, but always summat you can't quite see/make out/etc. !!Make your own!? Im sure someone on here might be able to offer assistance

I wanted weight saving too! I can’t help but fill every bucket to the brim, which can make tilty machines abit noddy! Extra 40kg++ would make it even worse!

Not sure if they do a gripper for 204, or did I see they were introducing one but it would be a noticeable difference on a 3t, grd40 for 6t is 45kg apparently but If someone sat me in the wacker blindfolded and asked me if gripper was on or off I would be very hard pressed to tell the difference, it's only been off a handful of times in year or more I've had it and that's to dig deeper in with a 300mm bucket if you want to use bottom of bucket in trench as opposed to blade, but otherwise it's always in use ... depends on machine but wacker handled the humongous geith tilt bucket much better than the 8t Kubota did ! not just less noddy but not slowed down either.
Common sense but If you put the smallest tilty on that's possible it means you can do top hitch and gripper and not have too compromised a setup.
EDIT: Well I say common sense but I learned most of what I know on here and off the old forum

From what I have seen they don't do grippers for the s30 size, so it's S40 and the additional weight of the tilt unit unit and then having to run larger/heavier buckets.
Would have thought it would be possible but just doesn't seem to be a thing
