It's a hired machine. Tb290 has terribly weak tracking. £2800 I was quoted to get my own 8 tonner on 600 steels- what were you quoted?

£2300 per side (600mm) which includes a different srive sprocket. Who quoted you? Mine is still nearly double the price.

Decided to be an alloy wheel thief today. 
Drilled center then opened it up with 4 more and it popped off.
Yes, there's proper tools to remove them but I don't possess them.
Yes, a garage/tyre place could of done it but all tyres are rotten aswell as the valve stems.

No, just not enough room to get a socket on over the outer, it was only protruding a couple of mm and the small inner ring was just too thin to take it.
I did try it on the rear one yesterday but drilling was the fastest and less chance of damage
