Congratulations Dave.
Yeah ok im finally going to stf up about it because the same rules dont apply in uk as here and im sure a few on here want to tell me to do oneyour ability to transport your machine is the biggest benefit of all - yes there is the additional costs/hassles/etc. involved in the truck's ownership - BUT !!
it makes it work and the incidental convenience for other related things must be fantastic ..
Pity is here, all the shite that goes with that convenience![]()
well that's knackered the lawn!Todays and tomorrows but I hope not thursdays job is replace this tank that has succumb to the forces.
Decided to put the new tank in another spot as old one is deeper by about 40cm and pissing water back in after being emptied so we might never get a good bed.

Normally knock the top in and fill it with spoil from other hole round herewell that's knackered the lawn!
looks a hell of a lot drier than ours here
how do you (or the customer) dispose of the bollo-ed tank?
Congratulations pal - definitely no sleep in your house for the foreseeable future! XxIn other news, new driver started on Sunday afternoon, he’s a lot to learn but will turn out good I’m sure

I pulled a sparkley one the other day. Fortunately there was enough slack on it, so not too bad.Nothing around it apart from rock and compacted material, CAT didn't pick it up, using a toothed bucket boys spotted it well.
Not so lucky on the pipe rock sitting over the top crushed as it was scraped out. Pipe looks like nothing has ever ran through it. All fixed 225mm clay pipe isn't cheap!
So many times I've seen people diligently putting tape directly over a utilty- absolutely useless!I pulled a sparkley one the other day. Fortunately there was enough slack on it, so not too bad.
I was digging in very stoney ground but it was taped...but they literally had spiralled the tape around the cable.
Nothing around it at all, and the pipe when we uncovered it had all the bedding on 1 sideI pulled a sparkley one the other day. Fortunately there was enough slack on it, so not too bad.

I seem to be regarded as bit of an oddball locally for taping buried services properly.
Really like the tape that has perforations in it so when broken it turns to streamers hanging off the bucket tooth![]()
How do you get a signal into it though if you don't know it's there?Even better is the tape with a cable in it to so you can detect non detectable utilities
When the electric cable you dug through earlier livens all the surrounding tape upHow do you get a signal into it though if you don't know it's there?
