Anyone on here deal with small mobile crushers? eg Red rhino ect. Looking for one of my overseas customers.

I've tried both the Small red rhino, and the larger one.. both are tin town and fall to bits.

Seen some 5ish ton italian made crushers which worked well.

Just in the process of building our own atm with a Kue Ken jaw crusher unit to shift on tractor trailer/skip lorry frame.

The old kue Ken,happy days at shap granite,turn the jaws every fortnite,replace every month,the pegson had to be changed every month,shap Beck down the road did there's once a year,got quite good with crushers back then lol

Can't fault ours. this will be its 4th or 5th reincarnation in it's life I reckon. Only a baby. But having tried a few alternatives we have come full circle back to the old unit... Managed to make the toggle bar fall out of both red rhinos i've tried

Idea is to have a skid frame that can be lifted as engine, crusher and hopper. then a separate conveyor. Got a few jobs lined up for it.

Worst job was the rubber diapraghm having to strip the guts out n climb inside thing is there old school gear,but for crushing unless it's some mad 2000tph it works well

Great bits of kit Never used a red rhino so I can’t compare but in all honesty I’d hire this time and time again as I can vouch for its reliability

How do the diy or smaller customers make these pay? I can get rid of grab load for 150 then have a load of recycled on same lorry say 255 for good quality crushed concrete. That's 400 per 15t. Every time I've looked the hire, transport and labour to load kills these. What kind of quantity do you need to make it pay to hire?

That was our feeling last red rhino we hired. £30 a hour with potential to smash 2tph in theory which made it cost effective as access was non existent with my 15t wagon being about the biggest you could get in..... about 40t of concrete to eat..... but toggle bar out within 20mins.... concrete too hard, apparently it much prefers bricks

Those guidetti are much more like it. think the last one I saw would run around 10t per hour, Which is the same output as I hope to achieve with my unit.

I looked at red rhinos a few years ago, I wanted to hire them out however every friend I spoke with who has run them or worked them said unless you run them operated they will block up very easily. Otherwise I think they were ok into a point.

I have sold a few guildetti's in my time. Red Rhinos seem to be more for the weekend warrier market...

From what I've seen of the red rhinos they are expensive to buy would take a lot of crushing to pay it off, then all the wear and tear.
I've wondered before about how they can make it pay hiring one for a day or two, the output just seem too unrealistic a 1.4t with a potential output of upto 6t and a 3t with a potential for 15t then there is the hire costs 170/270 then potentially an operator at another 150
If it was something like 20t just seems too much effort compared to muckaway and 20t quarried type 1. As with the hire costs you still have a day to crush it and shift it as material builds up

Yes, i am a dealer for Simex crusher buckets which i offered him (Similar to MB) but my customer has decided he wants to tow something around.
