Old school way of doing it. It still works the same . You need to pick your weather window though .
We put a 10mm concrete mix over it and use roller screed and power float . It’s much cheaper than doing it when the house is built but you do gamble with the weather . A gamble worth taking when I employ the labour and own the plant . I wouldn’t do it commercially though . I’d put the frame up first . Happy with this one , floor poured today .

185k for 3.5 acres on the Black Isle .
More than I wanted to spend on a plot but plots are getting like hens teeth here with our planning depts attitude

That’s my 6t thwaites . I got it painted 3 years ago but never got round to putting the new stickers on it yet

Good squad , 3 of us , good weather window , 3 days to put down dpm , insulation and ufh pipes and manifolds. ( 19 zones ) 210 sqm floor. and then 70mm concrete screed .

Mrs P asked at the start how do we keep lid on the costs , I’ve told her get everything on the plans right before starting and don’t make any changes at all . Then do as much as we can ourselves . She organised everything from kitchen and utility layout to light positions . She guarantees me nothing is changing .

That's a steal especially with planning.

Depends on the view but for something comparable You could hit 7 digits. But then I would also expect another 7 digits to be spent on the build, for a self build at least. However I would be very surprised to see a single dwelling going into a plot that size. 4-5 houses to the acre at upwards of a mil each.
