interesting, and can well see why, but no matter which end of the manifold the oil comes from, ultimately it is the solenoids and valves that determine where it ends up

Cetops will work back the front although not recommended as back pressure will damage certain types.
Your standard closed port CE top will work back the front

mine won't though ... got a check valve in circuit to make sure the flow only comes from P port, in case I pressed the pedal the wrong way

pretty similar on most of 'em ... generally find that the oil filled ones don't stay full long and are often greased as a retro step to save a seal rebuild

My two have never lost a drop of oil. (And they get ragged around beasting timber about constantly).

think it's more so the larger units Dan ... bigger wear surface and higher loadings

Thats a load of balls there, never seen one converted to grease, and have many out there pushing over 10 years or more and never needed seals.

seems to be quite a thing on some of the Scandy fitted/used gear I've read about on maskinisten ...... or how else would I know about it ... also bear in mind that some of their gear is twice that age and more

that's very interesting Shaun .... would love to know what control valves are in that ... cetop3,s are one way flow -- P in and T out .. guessing some form of diverter set up in yours, which would in theory accept reverse flow as it is merely a diverter, where as the cetop3s do the variation in flow direction.

I would like one, I had an engcon s30 180 hydraulic hitch and buckets supplied with the 8026 and that's where it stopped

From the prices I was given (end of 2022) I can't justify £15k for a ec02b with control system and levers and that's with no buckets or top hitch needed, rototilt would have been about 3k less

Either way it was still more or less half the cost of a new 8026 or near enough the cost of a micro at the time

There has been quite a few times where a tilty would have made life easier - even for me with zero experience, due to the poor off set of the JCB and the tailswing causing issues in tight places but as the micro was available it got over the issues

The Chinese copies last year were around 9k for a bare bones, 6 hose tiltrotator, which I feel is very expensive considering only a few years ago, if I remember correctly engcon were doing the same setup with buckets for less

I would go the doobin route on a 2.5t... nice and simple install - find the right machine then a bit of patience.

I wouldn’t bank on it as a route to obtaining a tilty. They need to be realistically priced new.

The JCB doesn't have twin proportional controls so would have to get some work done to it first, would still work out alot cheaper than full fat though.

Having seen a few posts and faceb, how the eff have a couple of people/companies spent just shy of 100k on a sub 3t machines

They must be including vat in those prices but still is insane to think there's triple the cost of the machine spent on tilty, the machine guidance and slew and height restrictions
