Got to install some chequer plates. What's best attachment method without breaking out concrete. Fixing bolts that don't prelude from plates causing trip hazard

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
issue with c/s heads is you can't through bolt with them (least none I've seen?) ... I used to buy sleeve anchors with a nut in them, but the body for an M12 was 22+ mm so had to pre-drill through plate/whatever, move it out the way, open up to 22mm fit and then drop the plate/whatever, back in place .. will get you a photo later Dylan

Just drill and countersink the plate and use countersunk concrete screws. Simples. 6mm would be fine, you could use 7.5mm but no point as there's next to zero loading on them.

I'd probably just use a co-polymer adhesive/sealant and leave a few bricks on them overnight as they go off. By far the easiest/lest intrusive method and no way would they come loose so long as the concrete was solid. clean and not dusty before you did it.

I can't believe you lot all suggesting rawl bolts, it's not a rope access anchor point!

selection of expanding bodies

left and centre have the expanders at the ends and although they'll undo it's luck of the draw as to whether you'll pick it up again once the bolt's removed.
this one has the expander mid way in the body and deforms the lower part of the body which holds the nut solidly in place ... they're designed for multiple in/out use of the bolts

they're excellent fixings .. used to use them in the floor of my workshop for temp. fixings for pulling lugs / eyes and have hung some serious structures off them on walls and concrete ceilings ... got one in the pine end of the barn here with an eye bolt, holding my catenary wire for the boxes' power cable

pretty new things (to me) ... were just about coming about when I packed in ... had used some 10mm ones in the yard once but wasn't impressed, compared to knock in thrubolts

Yep 2nd that bit of chemical anchor in too. You'll be surprised how much chequer plate will loosen if even 1 fixing is not tight to the surface
