remember you having it done, from the CEF .... tha's a while ago now BoyoMines 10mm mild steel plate. I had it laser cut from a 8x4 sheet, with the right bits notched out so it fitted between the pillars!
trouble with gear oil is ..... the bloody smell of hypoid.... I'd be favoring a much lighter oil TBH Alex, well scrubbed in if the carbon black is still on the plate ....... if it's a CR4 plate (bright, cold rolled) oil and kero mix very lightly applied with a rag - regularly
WD is only a water dispersant and not a lubricant, so I'd give the rest the same treatment... as when it dries out it offers zero protection
and does so fairly quickly
Take it that window has a roller shutter on it ?tea leaf heaven other-wise

Looks like she's done a round with Mike Tyson!forgot to say last night ... our trip to Newport Friday, for Pam, was 'successful' ... in that it got done ... she's sore but better than expected .. took the dressing off this morning, as per instructions ....

6 dissolve-able internals and 8 that'll come out next Friday .... a mole she's had all her life, about 6mm across, just in front of her ear ... but quite flat ... caught it with a comb, doing her hair several weeks ago and scalped it.....it promptly went berserk and when she went in on Friday, the best description I can give you is ...... imagine pushing a pencil into the side of her head and the only thing left showing was the 'rubber' ... about 8mm dia. and a good 10mm protruding
.... was weird .... anyway, as the dermatological consultant suspected, was deep rooted and needed quite an 'open up' to deal with. Consultant was quite surprised at its growth in four-ish weeks
been sent off for biopsies .... we have our fingers crossed![]()

Yeah, it was a bit whiffy. What sort of stuff would you recommend? The WD has been working quite well so far.
Yep, when I had the workshop renovated before we moved in (the floor was roughened concrete, the windows were metal framed single pane units) I bought roller shutters that would fit entirely within the gap. The box sits inside the window hole, and then I fitted uPVC units that I had manufactured also to fit (once I'd done the shutters).
There's another one over the other side, but I rarely open them unless I'm there for a while - which considering I bought my house shortly after finishing this, is fairly rare!
I also had the floor skimmed & painted, ceiling plasterboarded, insulated, and a loft installed. Lots of crap up there!
LMAOCyberprog,
If you think Pam’s ear looks bad just wait to see what Druid looks like after he arrives home with a big blue trailer.
I spoke with Ollie today. Phase one of the transport operation is being carried out tomorrow.

WD is fine as long as it's regular ... you could wax the benches, but'd need to be wiped clean with thinners or panel wash first and again done regularly ... or sili spray... or a teflon dry lube, but much dearer
.... use is the best thing to keep the surface

something along those lines'd be fine, or a little engine oil thinned out with a little kero ... but'll smell a little for a while ... won't rust thoughYeah, Wax wouldn't work for me I don't think. Are we talking like air line oil or similar when you say a light oil? Just trying to figure out what to buy y'see![]()
I have MASSIVE respect for our medics ... saved my life 9 years ago and continue to do so weekly. It’s amazing what can be done with surgery nowadays. I’m living proof of it, having been through a 5hr OP 5years ago this month!
I'm only talking tiny amounts Stock and don't smell as bad as cherry .... plus it's a lubricant of sorts ... just thins the viscosity of engine oil a bitkero is corrosive try some two stroke oil...................................................................................
inclined to be a bit 'claggy' thoughkero is corrosive try some two stroke oil...................................................................................
Will defiantly second that, think I was more impressed with the torque screw driver they had for putting the self tappers into my head than the halo itselfIt’s amazing what can be done with surgery nowadays. I’m living proof of it, having been through a 5hr OP 5years ago this month!
