Is it worth a wallop with a piece of wood or have you already tried it

hell's teeth ... that is a CHEAP starter
for twenty quid I'd take the chance

Ether is fine if used in small doses as intended. The original use of it was generally in specific shot amounts calibrated for the engine size.

Unfortunately in can form it gets used liberally without hesitation and causes knocking..... In small engines (and even large ones) the over compression leads to the con rods being hammered shorter.

Think we blew a ring with an overdose in a 320D bobcat we had.

Once had to use windscreen de-icer to get an old yard machine running

Yup those four cylinder Kubota engines just will not start without heat if the ambient temperature is less than 30 degrees! Both my forklift and multione are the same. The forklift is a nightmare as for some reason if you forget the first time, the flow plug relay needs the ignition off for a minute to reset so you can’t just go again straight away!

Just as long as the hydrostatic motors aren’t stuck slightly in drive one way or the other!

I don't think they are or it would have moved a bit I would think I decided to take a punt on that starter 28 quid all in hopefully it will come quickly

Yes I think I will need to crank up the welder and plasma cutter and make one looks like they are about 500 mm deep by 500 high x 1250 wide so roughly half a sheet of steel can anyone measure theirs up for me please

This bucket of off my 463 but is bigger than the standard one so I think it will be about right for your machine. Appolagies for the poor picture. Photos were taken in between rain showers.

Thanks for that it's about what I was thinking mine needs to be 4ft wide which is convenient I will go down the local metal yard in the morning and get a bit folded up my press is not wide enough to get a 4ft sheet in I suspect the steel will be 350 easy

5'd be my choice

I will get 5 then I thought I had a load up the yard of 6mm however when I went to look where it was stashed I had no steel only aluminium left 2 X 1 m sheets of it in 6 would have been ideal if it was steel

Seen a few with 360 dyking buckets fitted they work well enough
