Poxy weather is a good title.....the job I'm on that was paused not that many weeks ago due to being waterlogged is now so dry it's causing it's own problems 😬

Anybody want to lend me a rain shower or two over the weekend? ..... if not I'll have to take the other half camping again 🤭

So 4 weeks without any decent rain and 27 degree weekend ahead and up here at least 10 days of 25 plus weather are we seeing the much vaunted climate change. Since that scorcher of 2018 summers seem to be getting hotter(better!).

Are we going to see a change in our work as in pools? Irrigations reservoirs, more outside orientated lifestyle or just a blip and dull overcast miserable rain be back soon?

We are seeing older building suffering with clay heath from ground drying out and big cracks forming

Clay dessication under the footings of old buildings, particularly in the presence of plants, is only going to get worse when building regs require soakaways to be so far from the building.
Settlement when dealt with by underpinning will cause heave if any of the dessicated clay is left to subsequently re-hydrate and swell

Slecked the dust here today and due a bit tomorrow - we need it mind.
Back to the sun next week hopefully so we can continue to make hay.

Weather warning ⚠️ for thunderstorms here tomorrow, then underneath it says '5 - 10% chance, so that'll be no then 😆

I can see sales of factor 50 going up in the future and/or skin cancer too.
Looking on the bright side 😀

There was something on the news a few weeks ago about the climate change target temp rise figure being smashed years earlier than predicted.
