Had you sent him the brown paint before collection to make it match the rest of the Druid fleet?
was a really weird colour that .... sort of reddy brown .. American import... never seen the same colour on any Kwaka in the UK .... bloody horrible colour TBH, but the siccle was mint.

needle valves held in place by O rings .. which split - valve seats dropped - constantly flooded the motor ... was quite a job replacing 'em .... 'bout 8 hrs -- lotta bits off, just to get at the carbs, let alone get 'em on the bench

it's Thursday ... Harper al day, Clara to school and then collect at 3.15 ..... luckily 'mummy' tipped me off this morning that there was some sort of 'paint race' this afternoon ... didn't know anymore about it.
So went prepared this afters, with two old double sheets, from me 'wrap' / rag stocks.
Get down there and it looked like a an art shop had exploded .. powder paint everywhere
Apparently part of the corrie celeb.s .. (not quite sure just who for :ROFLMAO: ) Staff had the kids doing a circuit of the playing field, whilst THEY paint bombed the kids (who all thought it was great sport) :ROFLMAO:
Was greeted by this .... who was by no means, the most colourful - some were head to foot :ROFLMAO:

I'd already spread a sheet out in the back of the Golf (sod taking the Sportage  ) and had her kiddy seat well covered.
Stood her beside the car and cocooned her in a.n.other sheet and lifted her into the seat with strict instructions not to touch ANYTHING!!
View when we got back home, before I released her and picked her back out :giggle: ..... before granny put her in the shower .... little monkey

they didn't make a lot of 'em Mog ...
little one man band in mid Wales ...
if he hadn't agreed to hold it for the guy on Saturday I'd have tolerated the ear ache to go get it first thing Friday morning ...
that was north of 3.6 grand in the early '90s ...
mine was 2.5k when I bought it

was absolutely gutted to see it gone last night ... would've given double that for it ... they're a very good profiler

did it ever rain here Friday and yesterday .... ground saturated ... grass growing like ferk
way too damp to cut this morning, but desperately in need
so ran the genny up, plugged the Harrison in and polished up the pillar for the little bench drill I've had in bits .. then found a bit of 1-1/4" to make up a split collar for the table clamp, which was missing
base cleaned up well, fore it got a fresh coat of black ..
WP_20230505_13_54_08_Pro.jpg

together with the pillar base collar, locking collar and table.....
got those bits back together and dropped the head on
WP_20230507_13_37_19_Pro.jpg
WP_20230507_13_37_29_Pro.jpg

pity the table's had a bit of abuse :(
then sorted the split clamp
WP_20230507_14_50_44_Pro.jpg
WP_20230507_14_50_54_Pro.jpg

worked a treat and the table now clamps true, square and level

wish the ground'd dry out ... the lower bit desperately needs the Dane's attention, but the weeks forecast is 'kin grim ... was today, - or not at all, this week, for the rest of it .... then it was grub time 🍽️🕡

still nice after tea - as in shirt sleeves, so came back out and split the drill's motor, from its carrier, gave all that a clean up and a coat of tish ... :giggle:
job for tomorrow to get it all back together, after me hamster juice, in the morning, then see about reassembling the whole thing. (y)
indoor job tomorrow, according to the forecast :(
Problem is, fully assembled, it's too bloody heavy to hump about and the head, with the motor on, is similarly heavy, but just about handle-able, as is the lower half.
I'm very wary of 'overdoing' the humping, of late, after the episode with Vin's S60 base, a few weeks ago!:(

I originally thought this was a B&H machine, but having had it to bits I see it's a Fobco Star, with a B&H plate attached, as they presumably supplied this new
Nice little drill ....
