nice shedAnother day on my 'other job' yesterday. An acoustic enclosure around domestic aircon machines. Absolutely hammered down while we were putting it together. Luckily most of the carrying was through a building. We actually carried 3 of the bits that need some bits attaching on site back inside to get a bit of rest from the rain. In the afternoon it was back in my mates workshop finishing the frame of a removable chip/brash box for my defender/10x5 trailer. All done from steel box that came, along with quite a lot more, in a 3 ton tipping farm trailer I bought at auction, 2 miles from home for £250, right result! Some of the lengths were a bit bowed but I tried to cut around this and once it's clad it'll look finefirst real project using a mig welder myself and I'm looking forward to the next.
To be honest I've spent so long in the workshop the last 2 weeks, interrupted by small jobs of very low value for lovely but slightly infuriating customers that I have no enthusiasm to get back to landscaping at allstarting a bigish patio on Monday, I'm sure the up front payment and a couple of days on the digger will change that

It's been wet but not bad last few days. ...all that water was ground water and blocked top water drains.looks like you had a bit of a shower ...... it's still coming down horizontal here, like the rest of the week/month/December ... rain is truly unreal ATM![]()
Forgive the no doubt very basic question but what sort of spec do you promise when doing a job like that? Tolerances for flatness, fall etc.View attachment 43062

Generally just depth of excavation, sub base and capping layer, membrane or not. You’re working to existing levels at the edges.Forgive the no doubt very basic question but what sort of spec do you promise when doing a job like that? Tolerances for flatness, fall etc.
