I have just paid (converted to Sterling) £1.38 + vat for our red equivalent.
Next year is going to be fun when we are supposed to go to white like the u.k - thankfully we don't use a lot.

Waaait a minute .... brain fart 🤦 I just paid €1.17 per liter so £1.00 per liter

That feels so much better .....the power of positive thinking 🤔

It's about €1.80 at the pumps for white so £1.23 + vat by my obviously shite reckoning.

How much are you buying at a time? My local charges me £1.60 per litre for red because I collect it 50 litres at a time in jerry cans. Don't use enough to justify getting the tanker out sadly.

is there a reduced VAT rate over there ? 5% for less than 2300l here

Yeah get a receipt. I phoned around because I was googling red diesel prices and seeing similar figures as Furniss but even the other 2 companies in the area say its a volume by price basis so unless I start ordering in the thousands of litres then I'm onto plums. Either that or make pals with the farmer and chuck him a few quid, which might not be a bad idea...

very few will deliver less than 500l, some's min. is 1000l ... depending on your usage/frequency of purchase, it might be worth inquiring the rate for say 600l collected and get yourself some clean oil drums ... not many will deliver into drums, especially if you're not known to them
can then either pump out of drums or get a drum stand and a tap

The government has been reducing tax on fuel to the tune of 30c per liter from 1st Sept to 16th Nov......now it's a 10c reduction upto end of the year.

Vat is 20% on white / gnr (which is red equivalent)

If I'd of thought to buy it before the 16th November I would of saved 300€ 🤦
