That’s what I’d normally do! I got worried “but it’s electric” and has warranty still and my usual guy won’t touch it. You even need special rubber jack point blocks as the battery is in the floor pan. I can’t knock the quality of service, my local dealer seems very attentive and messaged me the second it was ready and the car was immaculate when I picked it up.
Maybe I’m being a little thin skinned with the pricing. Maybe I’ve not quite made the mental inflation adjustment but I do think the work specified was uncalled for after 13k miles.

Fwiw I think electric is going to be a stopgap like Betamax and minidisc to wean us off internal combustion. Who knows what’s next.
Probably nothing but the bus if you read the WEF statements.

A mate has bought this - I had a go in it last night. Until now I had absolutely zero interest in electric cars. This thing is absolutely mental, I’ve never been in anything that can accelerate as fast! I can definitely see the appeal now…

for how long, how far and how many times .....

's a big lump that .... what's it weigh ? ....... and more importantly ..... can it tow - anything????

Tesla model 3. Full spec, dual motor, biggest battery etc. I think it will realistically do 200 plus miles (he uses it to go to and from Swindon from Cheshire to see his kids, and doesn’t need to charge it en route, gets there with plenty in reserve).
No idea what it weighs, don’t know about towing. He reckons he’s seen 165mph out of it (!) and I cannot believe how it accelerates - genuine hold-on-to-the-steering-wheel stuff. I’ve been in plenty of fast cars and nothing feels as fast as this (might partly be because it is silent, and it doesn’t lose traction at all - the throttle pedal is like a switch). Cost him £40ish k second hand last year and has actually gone up in value apparently (Tesla want to buy it back off him). It’s full of tech - it self-drives, you can watch Netflix, use Google etc. No road tax, cheap insurance, bugger all servicing (eats tyres though!). Very very impressive bit of kit!

Only sat in one in the showroom. Not impressed with the build quality…….this is from a Land Rover fan!!
Can’t tow a Digger so no use to me!!
Saving the planet……really??

Make sure he launches it as often as poss. There's a guy in America kept busy welding motor mounts on Teslas cos they can't handle their own torque.

Bro in law has same...apart from the acceleration...(which is fun unless you a passenger 🤢) I can't get the appeal..
Sorry once a petrol head always...I'm constantly searching for the best exhaust note😳😅

I’m with you, nothing about EVs excites me, I love engines.
However, having driven one hard I’m swaying towards being a convert…
I think if it could be tied in with a solar array and essentially be used as a power bank then it would be a mega second car.

I fully get that they go mental fast. So why do they seem to be driven so bloody slowly.
Tesla driver at 5 o'clock this morning making lots of rude gestures at me for overtaking him as he was doing 35 in a 40.
40 isn't even close to dangerous either, the road always used to be national speed limit until the council ran out of things to do.
And I didn't even seem him in my mirror again.
I did consider stopping to ask him if the gestures where upset that he can't drive his very expensive motor or whether he doesn't like being over taken in a truck that's doing its best to dodge the scrap yard

Because he's got range anxiety... remember they constantly paranoid about running out of fuel...I'm not complaining it leaves outside lane free for the V6s😎
