yeah but the feckers get you other ways dont be fooled its still as, if not more expensive than the uk tax wise - we just get somewhere nicer to live 😉

and depends where it is, a mate if mine has moved his business premises in Brest - he kept the old unit for now, its 450m2 with little 1 bed apartment on end and about 2500m2 yard, apparently they valued it at 750k €

I paid 50k € inc fees 10y ago for 320m2 including office in corner, 3 phase and water, 10minutes walk from home just out of our hillbilly village.

I would absolutely love something like this, even a 10th the size would be a dream. I see two main problems, the absolute eye watering cost, I haven't seen anything decent for less than the price of a family home, and if your lucky enough to find something that's suitable, you're then on the hook for business rates. I don't know what the rates would be, I've not seriously enquired or spoken to an accountant. I'd be very interested to hear what strategies people would recommend for acquiring a yard/shed for a small, essentially 1 man band.
