The bobcat has screen vents but due to the nature of any mini digger (door on left, so no vents possible that side) you’ll struggle to keep a screen clear from even the slightest bit of moisture in the cab if you shut it up.My Wacker is the same. Yeah same problem. Not sure what post knocker you have but mine is 350kg and wouldn't be legal with any of the above models. When I take my tak (2.9ton) to a job I just have to move the machine bare stick or one bucket, bring the knocker/ attachment separately with dumper or materials. Not ideal but kinda works for jobs that are more than a day or 3 long.
I don't get it. Seems the first thing most people do when they get in a digger is open the front window. Keep it clean with a bit of glass cleaner and squeegee and you can usually see just as well, unless the sun's on it at a funny angle. Air con might help as OP suggests. Personally though I don’t like operating with the screen shut for some reason.

Probably pushing it a bit with the knocker, grab, auger, rock spike and a bucketbut the kx61 is only 2590kg and I've got a pretty light trailer. Do you always work alone or ever have a second person bring the other trailer?

Yeah all that ex trailer will be well over the 3t mark plus most trailers with 3.5t will be pushing 700kg. Yeah I work alone mostly , but find ways around it, do very little fencing these days anyway. One of the main reasons I bought the Wacker neuson too at 2.2ton was so I could take it to jobs with a selection of attachments or some materials and still be within 3.5t.I think mine's more like 250kg. Because at least you have choice if you have cab and as Doobin says eve with the front window open the rest of the cab does a nice job of keeping the majority of the weather out. I wouldnt want to spend a winter on a canopy machine! Keeps the cab nice and dry too- no one likes sitting on a wet seat in the middle of DecemberWhy spend the extra on a machine with a cab if you always have the windows and door open? Save money and weight and get a canopy machine.

Calcs for the E27 transport weight:
E27 weight transport-2549kg
Counterweight- 147kg
Hitch- 20kg
Grab-90kg
Rotator- 30kg
2836kg total digger weight.
Ifor Gh1054 weighs 660kg, so 2840kg payload.
So it's tight, and over with steel tracks unless you remove the grab and rotator, then it's about right again. But doable. So too is the Bobcat T450- fits beautifully and legally in the GH1054 with the 210kg bucket in the towing vehicle. It's a brilliant trailer.View attachment 81474

I bought the bateson trailer because it was marketed as light, I think it was something like 580kg. I added a strip of ply to the centre of the trailer and with a spare wheel it was mid to high 600's but can't remember. Split ramps have meant I can't move a roller which is really annoying, otherwise they're greatYes.
