That was my thinking, change to one with twice the capacity, will have to check the dimensions for itslane is twice the jcb quite literally.

That would great, how did you get on with it, I seen the petrol version was a little narrower. The petrol slane is now 700mm wide , I think the water cooled diesel was 750mm but that may have changed. We must have shifted 2 -4 grab lorry's of conc and muck with one. I prefer to walk behind it but you can ride on the platform.
I was dead keen on getting one but have since gone off the Idea of getting back in to debt.
I did have some pictures of measurements of the tracks to see if it would fit on trailer.
I can post them if you're interested.
quite a lot more than a htd-5 .In may 2021 it was £9000+ for a petrol
Had a slanetrack out on hire earlier in year. It’s a big powerful machine, but not really a micro machine IMHO. I’d like a kubota high tip with extending tracks but 11K for a new oneMay as well put it here, JCB htd5 are excellent at the time I got mine it was the highest tipping point and very rare anything but wet clay sticks in it.
Having said that how does the slanetrac compare as been debating selling off the htd5 and c6.5 and just having the one high tip dumper
Never seen any of those, had a price for a new htd5 on Thursday, £7400 without step or nearly 9k with the step and then was offered one with a step for 8.2k![]()

how much is the slanetrac? ppl say the petrol one is better than diesel?Never seen any of those, had a price for a new htd5 on Thursday, £7400 without step or nearly 9k with the step and then was offered one with a step for 8.2k
There is a few niggles with the htd5 but out of all the tracked dumpers I've used so far it's the best. I'm still tempted for the slanetrac but it's a big old beast at 1.9m long. So around 200mm longer than the htd5 theC ormidi c50 is not bad but is also a good 1.55m long which made a big difference on the last dig out
can the slanetrac tip over the side of a transit, with the sides up with the dumper at the same ground level? On paper it looks to be a good 100-150mm less than the cormidi or jcb
Had a quote in may, so probably gone up and need to be sitting when you see them....how much is the slanetrac? ppl say the petrol one is better than diesel?
It's really not long ago that you could buy a micro for that.Had a quote in may, so probably gone up and need to be sitting when you see them....
£12.250 plus vat for the diesel
I would need to try one, but figures are crazy
that is big money for engine and track motors, no swivel etcHad a quote in may, so probably gone up and need to be sitting when you see them....
£10,250 plus vat for the petrol

I know, it's too much. At those rates I won't be changing. To be fair can't see one larger dumper beating two smaller ones, unless sole working then yeah one big one would triumphthat is big money for engine and track motors, no swivel etc
Heard the horror stories, but since having mine new in 2017 it's needed one hose which was badly routed so rubbed on the frame, starter motor due to some idiot leaving the key in the start position, and needs an engine flywheel cover as the bolts rattled loose and three accelerator cables. It did have a valve block within the first few months as wasnt tracking right. Still on original tracks and a good 75% tread left, although do tend to put boards down at turn points Mostly to stop it digging down or marking but helps turningare the jcbs still notorious for blowing track motors at £1300 a pop
