Exactly my point! Admittedly already got one container but would need another. The odd half decent one does come up for £1k but like hens teeth.

We had that to --- - -wait better not say now HSE on board We had plenty of plant on that job The last one was when it was finished taken from a cherry picker we had on house chimney. Sad to say but who we done that for died a few weeks ago

You don't need the best containers though if you're gonna roof over them (which is worth doing to stop condensation in them) but that does mean its extra cost as you're not just roofing the gap between them. The other thing with using containers is no footings needed although if you're doing it as a way round planning by playing the movable card once you've roofed over and filled with stuff there comes a point where movable isn't so easy to claim.

I'd run services to a box, then run off via a 230V extension cable like in the quarries.

There's an awful lot of small print involved in anything planning involved like most things and if you look deep enough there'll always be something that you can find to argue the case either way. Ultimately it's down to money in the end and how much or either side is prepared to throw at it. There's a fella not far from me has for years now took the proverbial out the planning system with what he's built/converted etc. The last year or two he's really stepped it up and now his attitude is to build what he wants and see them in court. It's surprising how seemingly little money planners can actually put into taking someone on, but you do have to be prepared to at least match them. He did sell a property for about 1/4m recently which he has told plenty locally (and likely planners etc) that its in an account for when they want to take him to court.

Yup in LDNP. Its funny you assume it makes it worse but from occasional jobs I've done outside of NP i don't know if it is worse. It may be more strict as to what you can do or at least it might tie you to building something in keeping with what's already in the area but in some ways it makes it clearer to know what will/might be accepted. I think within NP you deal purely with planning officers/dept whose only job is planning so they actually do know about what they are doing where that isn't seemingly the case at local council level outside of NP. I've heard of people getting extensions refused just outside of NP for really obscure details which barely differ from ones within that I've dug out for

doubt it's 'old skool' stuff though ... been banned for years ...
I like bituminous paint, well thinned with kero or red as a first coat, then a brush-able/roll-ably thinned second coat -- thick as you can go and still get it on comfortably ... and repeat as necessary .... seriously weatherproof, but like creo., you can never over paint it ... stuff I buy in 20s needs to be well warm to get it out the drum in a sausage, then thin to suit .. no chance of applying it neat out the drum unless it's warmed up and a hot day

or do what I did and put 'em on short trailer(s) ... allowed 10ft beyond arse of trailer ..... I used a 28ft trailer to negotiate a very tight swing into our lane and our driveway, but they didn't come far from my yard

we're just outside the BBNP here and it is just .... but can get referred to them if it's in view from the park ...... and they're complete tw*ts to deal with .... have a committee as well as officers, consisting of a bunch of jumped up tossers who know sweet FA about what they preside over .... have had a lot of previous experience in dealing with them and fought them many years ago, for several years, to the point they were on the verge of caving (apparently) and conceding. We gave up a couple of weeks too soon, I was told afterwards .... battle of wills, but we moved in the end and became irrelevant to us (to a degree)

pretty similar,no bad stuff at all,very black ,very smelly,and you have to warm it up to get the lumps mixed in,get you a picture of drum tommorow

A1 ..... got 2 gallons here - but when it's gone it's gone ...... that's good news

ebay if i remember or you can get it from fence n forget in aberystwyth 5 or 45 gal drums
