Mega job! Any idea how they charge for the helicopter? Someone was telling me commercial chopper rates have come down a bit as there isn’t as much demand for filming since drones have become so common.

No idea how they charge for chopper the main contractor organised it had it booked for three days, got 180 ton of type 1 up to site in less than three hours for me to prep for mast base landing the following morning, he took up all our concrete mix etc up after lunch the first day, all set for mast base and blocks following morning Did 223 trips the first day

Chopper took mixer up for us not quiet so easy to take back down though

For Bracken spraying the helicopter was £100 per acre this year, which sounds expensive but on ground where you cant use tractors or quads etc and has to be done by knapsack it’s soon makes it good value

The pilot that was with us does a lot of spraying, there next job when they left here was down in Yorkshire moors taking stone out hills for track repairs and moorland restoration,

Ye had been on beach nearly 2 weeks, had to cut of dorsel fine with stihl saw that smelt really bad, luckily was pretty windy and cold so hadn't rotted as badly as some we have done
