Yeah the military stuff is good too. wore that for years- but as you say increasingly hard to find anything thats the right size.
Bought load for my kids ....wtf they were thinking as it's not even cadet stuff ....probably didn't get as many 4ft blokes signing up as they thought...as fir size 5 boots😳🤣

I got one of these off of eBay. Best coat I’ve ever owned it’s fur lined and proper waterproof. I tend to just wear a t shirt under it as you get to warm ! It’s got a handy front pouch to.

Ok you'll laugh but if your not fussed about colour get yourself down to a decent army surplus shop...stuff getting harder to get but bang fir the buck it's by far the best.

But then again get yourself a carhatt and baseball cap and voila ....instant USA youtuber cred😎👌
yeh used to be good tack for sure .... not so sure these days though

I've bought a bit of port West stuff lately.
Seems to be very good and reasonably priced too

got a couple of Portwest hi viz bomber jackets ... properly water/windproof and nice and warm .... for the money they'll take some beating TBH and don't worry about 'working' in 'em as cheap enough to replace (y)

Just bought these for the lads having had a yellow one for a year, old boy graham who’s 67 hates it won’t wear it as doesn’t like getting it over his head 😂
that's what was being discussed further up the page @Giles .... look good, but as I said, got to wrestle it over your head ... at 67 my namesake possibly struggles getting the arms up there ... we ain't as supple as we used to be by that age

Rewind to a rainy January 2020- an onlooker would have seen me throwing an absolute tantrum in the middle of field trying to get a bloody zip up on a jacket caked in mud! Since then have sworn I'll never bother with a zipped jacket again for work. Plus a zip is just more ways for water to infiltrate.

get him a Portwest Bomber (or two for the cost);) .... I rarely have anything more than a shirt on under mine
I wear an XL - 44/46" chest and is a lovely fit :giggle:

Problem with bombers is short cold back and rain dripping down off them prefer full length

Always had bombers when I was just in a machine full time, always full length now - very rarely get a full day in the cab anymore..
