Hi
I bought a leica rugby 820 dual grade laser in 2018. Cost 2400 🫣
It has been well minded.
Recently it stopped working and i sent back to the dealer and they told me the vials inside were damaged and lieca does not make them parts anymore.
Does anyone know a repair company that can fix the likes of this with 2nd hand or spurious parts?

@Laser Levels Online is a member here and seem to know their stuff ..... would think they'd be a very good bet for a try

These people fixed my leica rugby 680, I only had a bearing go so it was a fairly easy fix thankfully. They might be worth a try?

I was also recently in touch with:

The chap there (Lee) who was pretty helpful over the phone advising me on all things laser levels, could be worth a chat?

I use them And they've previously rebuilt my Topcon DS

Also try PQS.

I've heard that before about leica discontinuing support for later products, shame, but another reason i'm not a red box.

That's why I bought the DS as well. Apart from the repeated reports of leica not liking bad weather and the huge premium. You can still buy the ds in blue so I reasoned spare parts availability will carry on for a good while.

Yes The sokkia is think is the CX.

I've used a PS hated it and had a GT on hire on a job monitoring and sounded like a group of angry wasps, I heard the motor didn't last long or at least on the early one.

Everything you get a standard with topcon or did with my DS when new...is an extra with leica. The controller fc5000 doesn't like the wet either and the keyboards don't last.

An engineer I've worked with has gt. The motors are warrantied to 5 years and are practically guaranteed to fail within that time frame so it's essential foc motors albeit inconvenient. But if you get a free calibration within that then probably acceptable.
I think the top con is great I don't get to use mine nearly as often as I would like due to a change in job. Alot of the American reviews I read really slated them for usability. But I find it really intuitive. I only had like a half hour demo. Probably can't get more than a 10th of the functionality out of it but works for what I do.
On the other hand top con laser levels are not great, or at least the receivers. Far to small a window on them in comparison to spectra or leica.
