Best micro I have driven is the Case 1.3t..... An absolute weapon of a thing and would hold it's own with an old-style 1.5 tonner. As said not really a micro anymore.

I still rate my 108 Takeuchi's (we now have two) as the best non servo micros...... Closely followed by the JCB 8010/8008.

Sany is £12,000 and a reasonable offering.

TBH doosan/bobcat is still likely the best true micro.

ive got a dx10 same as the e10 and to be fair its been a great machine, done everything we've thrown at it

suffers a little for load over height but pared with a 600kg tracked dumper or 1 ton dumper etc they're a weapon

loads my for tipper fine and have loaded our iveco tipper full just need to be close or sat on pile for best result

runs hammer and grab nicely for the money they were I think I gave 14400 for mine 3 years ago its been brilliant little machine

Trouble is these days the micros are moving into mini territory.
The Takechui looked good when I was shopping but the width (760mm?) put me off. Likewise the new Kobelco looks good but it’s too wide.
E10 is 710mm and there have been plenty of times that anything 20mm wider would have meant hiring a pissy little JCB Micro or having to use a shovel .
Mine was £15000 on 0% for 5 years in 2021
If I work out the labour/hire costs it’s saved over it’s 350 hours it’s probably paid for itself all ready as most of our digging jobs are just 30 min clock time here and there.

I have an 8010, and have spent time on an e10. The e10 is nicer to use, more modern in its feel, but the 8010 feels stronger, more well put together and is narrower. I think if I were hiring and knew I could get it where it needs to go, I'd go for e10. If i had to own a machine and was not so concerned with ergonomics, I'd go for 8010. Buts that's probably a case of better the devil you know... 8010 has been very reliable with no issues whatsoever, for me that's the most important thing as an owner operator.

Where are yous working where you can’t get in at 760mm ?
I’d struggle to find a gate that narrow , come to think of it I’d be likely stuck before the machine
It’s not JUST the width, it’s the approach angle. Most garden gates are 800mm but things like outside taps/drains/boiler flues can all eat into that margin, and when tucked in to 710 wide the machine tracks are still about 1200 long so any sort of corners or angles compromise things.

Once you start trying to put a machine through a pedestrian doorway (lots of garage back doors) then the width really comes into play, especially so because the ROPS folded down makes the machine even longer and less agile. I know you can take it OFF but folding is a lot less faff

I think with a micro is main purpose is to be small, if you can't get into the job, then you're in there with a shovel! And nobody wants that.... so the narrower the better - and in this micro weight class, usually working in back gardens, it really can come down to millimetres

My yanmar sv08 goes down to 680mm and I've done plenty of jobs where a 700 or even 690mm machine would have left me stood in the road looking very sad indeed 😂
When it's that narrow my knees are the widest point for sure.
I've said it before but my plan is to add an e10 as my main micro, use that whenever itll fit, but keep the yanmar for the jobs where it's the only tool for the job 👍 Wouldn't be without it though.
