Hand dig, ducting and concrete base, we won this job because a crane couldnt get close enough to lift over the factory we literally had 20mm on the guttering as we lowered it over the wall

Some drainage investigation works on the dual carriageway for a week the machine couldnt be left on the carriage way so had to be took back the yard everynight and brough back every morning ££££

Most of the work was under TM in the central reservation they would set it up for 8am and we had to be off for 4pm it was suggested but you know what HE are like

Two new additions to help with some work we have got coming up a TB210R and a Thwaites 3T Swivel both came up locally i would of prefered a doosan or a bobcat but for the price i couldnt go wrong

Nice and tight job where the biggest machine we could get in was a 5T, everything came into site on a 3T dumper loaded by a grab 900meters away!

On with the groundworks for the eco house now, reduce dig, piling mat formation, piling, pile caps very challenging site but we got there in the end!

First time using the gravel grids, nice system to use.

Have you laid them straight on type 1 or put sharp sand underneath
I want them on my drive but was told I need an inch of sharp sand to bed them on which is quite dear for the space I need to cover especially as I currently only have to pay for the shingle

I bedded the ones I used just on type1 but I screeded it well. You do get the odd spike break off if it hits a stone. What brand did you use @Danny and what did you pay?
I want to use these and seed some grass in them on a new drive. Drive will only be very occasionally used

200mm type 1, 20mm sand, 14mm gravel
I know other contractors who have laid on top of type 1 but then your sub base has to be bang on as the sand once it has been screeded removes any imperfections in the sub base

I'll see how good I get the type 1 then as 20mm won't be a problem for levels if I then have to add it
I was going to use 60mm crush topped with ecoblend with a very high fine content so should be able to get it pretty good I hope

These are xmats and cost wise including vat and delivery it works out at around £11.50m2
