Horrible machines

a mate of mine is selling a nice u10 if your intrested
U10 is 750 minimum so unfortunately not suitable kx008 would be most ideal but few around for good money or will be an 8010 which again are not too common

Not at the moment you can’t mate! Nothing much for less than £8k.

I wish all my finance bills were £250 a month! My e10 is £225 a month (maybe a year and a half to go?) and it’s incredible value. It’s paid for by midday on the first day I use it most months.
Isn't that an overly simplistic way of looking at it 🤔

No I meant .... if you do 500 a day labour you can't say we'll thats my 8t machine paid for for this month. That 500 has all your other expenses to cover 🤷

Why not? It might seem simplistic but it's no bad thing having such an outlook on finances and running costs, too many folk borrow because it's easy and find themselves in a hole when things don't work out as they thought. I've only got finance on 9 tonner (18 months left I think) but I know I go to work every Monday to pay for it.

Nowt against borrowing ..dont see how you get ahead otherwise but out of that 500 you have all your expenses to knock off surely 🤷

The days later in the month cover the rest of the expenses.
Just have to make sure there are enough working days in the month to pay for all the different machines’ finance, with a few days left at the end to cover mortgage, food and beer!
Nothing wrong IMO with working to this sort of basic man-maths. If you bill more than you spend then you can’t really go wrong.

Well hang on a minute ... I always used to think that way but was continually told its not that simple ....... wtf 🤦 I was right all along 🙂
But yeah it's all about getting more in than goes out however you want to think about it.

It is that simple, just depends on the life style you want

I like cake
I look at it like that for business

such as we made 2 k on that deal = a lads wage nearly covered
We made £500 on that deal = car finance sorted

etc

in the end you hope you do enough deals to satisfy your mind if that’s the way you work and show profit at the end

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
at the end of the month, as long as all yer bills are met and yer's in the black more than the previous month, you've done alright and you're still here to go again next month (y)

the afternoon pays for that :giggle:

It was how my mentor explained it to me to get me to stop being scared of finance. He was like, "how can you not find just ONE DAY a month's work for it? Then you've got a digger to use for the rest of the month!". It might be a basic way of looking at things but he was right.

Just to wade in halfway through what I'm sure is another episode of "it's a interesting tangent" I'm going to guess the usual stuff has been discussed, Doobin is by now cribbing on about financing your brand new digger, someone else has suggested selling a kidney and buying it outright......

How about a Cart...e.....Nah.

Has anyone suggested just finding one you like and stealing it yet?......... :ROFLMAO:

Right on a serious note.... Under 750 wide gives you a few options I've tried.

Bobcat/Doosan E10 - Nice diggers, on Servo's, command decent money S/H.
Takeuchi 210R - Have played on em a few times..... Bit gutless, very heavy, also noticed on the latest one that the servo arms are quite vunerable/prone to wear/abuse.
Takeuchi TB108 - Old spec.... My choice of tool, Plenty of power but no weight, very compact, sticks and not the most ergonomically designed but I like em..... Mate owns one that I consistently borrow. (If you want to go super old school a TB007 has a cooler name and is pretty much identical)
JCB 8008/8010 - I like em, prone to wear on the very expensive expanding track wear pads (At least it actually has them) 8008 is lighter and a bit gutless, 8010 is the big daddy of Micro diggers IMHO and has more balls than the rest..... But they are both JCB, which means they are seemingly built by the former workers of British Leyland so quality varies......

Komatsu did do a nice range of Micro diggers..... Underrated

Is that with the total at £18.5k?

I've probably just annoyed Barry by telling him his quote for a new E27 was daft. Call it constructive criticism. I said it was no slight on him, just Bobcat.

Two and a half years ago it was 27k with rotate circuit. To replace with exactly the same? £37k!!!!

Bloody hell total inc vat 22200 can get monthly payments of about 240 which is less than the finamce on a used machine

Yup, used machines are high percent finance, especially at that end of the market. Less so when you are spending £200k on a used crane, but secondhand micros to builders is higher risk. No offence lol.

what’s that, vat and 20% down or something?
