I’ve always found greasing the king pin then actually moving it side to side two or three times every morning stops king pin wear & using k48 molly grease from morris lubricants

Considering how big they are though I think they feel really cramped in comparison to the discovery though. Almost as if they had to cling on to it as a key design feature of defenders
It’s a strange one, the cabin is bigger on the defender as the doors are thinner/less sound proofing , the discovery has far nicer seats , much comfier and supportive etc.
The boot is tiny on the defender - disco5 boot is literally twice the size!
This would be taking the place of my Hilux, and I’d pick up a used lwb van for my rough work/tool carrier(doing actual work with!)

Apparently the Defender has battered the discovery sales, discovery is being redesigned soon
Yea I think it was 110k defender and 15k disco sold last year!
Genuinely the disco is the better car, being smoother more refined and comfortable, but as a commercial the defender is much better, with the full wash out floor, more rugged plastics etc, larger cabin and 3 seats up front.

Agree but I prefer def to drive over my D5. Handles way better and goes like stink.
Plus with 3 kids they trash the interior and disco all a bit gloss and posh.
And regards space I reckon rear 3 seats and area is biggest out there...my lad is 6"5 now 🫣

Yeah it’s a tough one, rear seat space is amazing in defender but the boot barely fits the pram in - where as the disco gets pram and full Costco shop in no problem!
Vomit wash out is a handy feature, was deviated when mine threw up all over the back of our current one - luckily she aimed directly as the rubber floor mats 😂
