It will be someone higher up the ladder that will be target target target based.. seen it all before.
Correct.

Has probably cost them two machines.... And if I'm honest whilst I like the Sany without faith in the dealer to do the right thing it rapidly becomes a less tasty proposition.... Massive shame as only a couple weeks ago I'm pretty sure I was singing there praises on here.... I must be bipolar 🤣

Quote coming from Cat this morning.... But if I'm honest I don't think it'll catch my interest, sat in the TB175 ATM... Despite blowing a tracking hose earlier in the week it's done everything I need and done it well. If I could buy a new one of these tommorow I would.... Perhaps I just need three of them 🤔

Or something a bit more modern at a sensible secondhand price?

To be honest nothing modern particularly interests me. The only think that is pushing me towards a new one is the fact that paint is s**t and trying to get someone to properly respray a 175 would be hard work.

Cat have a 306 but I suspect it's too small and in all honesty it annoys me when manufacturers try to flog warranty as an optional extra? Either stand by your product or don't. That was honestly one of the things that did help set Sany apart. Price wise it's comparable (talking around 10k difference) but I suspect they will be greedy on the PX stuff.

Updates......
Spoke to Caterpillar...... This required:
1)Filling in an online form with what I want - Cat 307.5 With a Geith Q/H to suit 50mm buckets (TB175 fitment)
2) Speaking to a "Machine Inside Sales Representative - Finning (UK) Ltd" who asks what I want - Cat 307.5 With a Geith Q/H to suit 50mm buckets (TB175 fitment)
3) Speaking to a Dealer who asks what I want - Cat 307.5 With a Geith Q/H to suit 50mm buckets (TB175 fitment)......

Now at all 3 of these steps I've said what I want... Beyond step 2, I should know a basic figure for a basic spec..... http://cat.com/en_GB/products/new/equipment/excavators/mini-excavators/15969612.html
Instead step 3 I get to repeat myself for a third time.... Oh Cat don't make the 307 anymore..... But we have a 2025 Cat 306 We want to get rid of.......
Two days later I get a price: over 10K dearer than the Sany, You clearly haven't listened to my spec as your package is "Hitch and 3 buckets", "oh i've not put the counterweight on there, but that's about £1000"..... Are you interested? Lol, No I'm in the business of making coin, not subsidising dealers who can't actually sell me what I've asked for.

Current logic is to ring the finance man next week for costs to finance 30k to drop on an ET65 (You win @Furniss ) I'm tempted to keep both the handler and the TB175 and just have another digger for the craic.........
Sany rep is meeting me Wednesday for a coffee and is hoping he can still find something.

Trying to stay under 8t for lorry purposes.
I'll be honest too, if the 306 is over 65K at a year old on a discount, I CBA to know the price on a 308...... I'm here to put money in my pocket, not the finance companies.
Over the years finnings have given me some mental discount on old stock, especially wierd spec stock. I've been fortunate to have been lucky with my local reps.

My appraisal of the rep for me would be unfavourable to post..... The "3 buckets and hitch" spec when I asked to price for a Geith hitch to suit my buckets, was the absolute nail for me.
I'm not the easiest buyer..... But by f**k he could of had an easy sale if he'd actually quoted me for what I wanted rather than what he had?

I know Rory, hence me saying Fortunately. I know lots of small fry don't get much luck with finning.

Tho I've had similar with other manufacturers/dealers where they just don't actually listen to what you ask...yeah it may take them an extra hour or so to work out or an extra email or 2 but they don't bother and either never get back or quote what you don't want.

My local doosan rep, top bloke sorts no end of things for me doosan or avant related amongst other things...literally a phone call to him and you've got what you want at a proper price...he's only ever sold me 2 machines in coming up 10 years, 1 new 1 used but still always goes the extra mile.

Customer service is deffo a big factor in things nowadays.

I had it with cat on my latest purchase, utterly hopeless!
Hitachi were spot on, Irish rep, knows his machines through and through, didn’t try and sell me something I didn’t want, came down to what I’d pay and deal done!
My only criticism would be I wish he’d pushed the fact hitachi is a main dealer for the big 3 tilty brands , I’d of had them wrap it all up in one tidy deal, but I loose no sleep over that.
