Every loader crane I have used would swing over the front. In fact I have never operated one with the safety feature engaged. They have all had the sensor modified by previous operators. Some had a micro switch at the base cable ties in position. Some had a proximity sensor with a 2p piece stuck over it.

Worked with this crane last year and it was one of the most impressive I’ve seen, fully remote controlled if needed cab lifts right up and incredibly compact for its size.
knew I jad a pic of one somewhere .... stunningly clever machines

I think it's a distinct possibility, annoyingly. The fact it stops dead at 90' to the lorry is a good tell.
unusual not to go past the legs at all though ... usually get 25-30 degs past .... legs behind the hiab or between it and the cab ?? .... if rearward I can understand that

Yeah think they are going to lift the new steps in position
well he ain't reeved for a lot, so probably got a reach on with Superlift rigged
my money's on it being a LIEBHERR LTM 1350-6.1 350 tonner
hard to be sure without an axle count

I’d say definitely 500 with the cab that swings around
I was trying to decide if it was a swingaway cab or not ... doesn't look to have enough articulation .... it was my first thought, but boom doesn't look big enough either
this is a 500t Lieb., max rigged for an on the limit lift in the local hospital in Jan. 2009
