Reverse deflection 🤔

something wrong with the luffing cylinders ... gone past their limit to get the boom at 90 and the weight of the superlift gear has dragged it beyond 85 deg.s --- chains've gone slack with the superlift winches still tight .. needs to back the winches off and MIGHT just get enough forward weight to get it back down from upright, but'll probably / almost certainly need some 'intervention' to get that back to 85 degs

Brightwells ...... https://www.brightwells.com/timed-sale/5692/lot/788030?returnUrl=/timed-sale/5692?pageSize=All
nice tools, but can't road 'em in the UK :( either make good yard crane or you gotta transport it everywhere :(
used to have a truck mounted version on an 8 wheeler with that boom and spec. - really good lifter
Ex-RNLI so has seen a lot of salt :( and it shows in places ... low hours and doubt it has been trekked far, ... or a lot

very much so, but all have to be netted and have restraints, etc., these days to use commercially ... be very useful but a long way to collect as a 'special collection' .. do not fancy a weekend with 4 squalling kids in Plymouth and Pam's not up to it anyway .. would happily give that for 'em but he'd have to bang 'em back inside, 'til I am next down that way - which could be a while

If you want them let me know and I’ll take them for you and put them in the back of the shed if you definitely plan on heading SW at some point.

FFS ... that's a special vehicle .... try it with your average artic unit/rigid and Freddy'd not be visible at more than 10 ft anyway .... WTF are these people smoking FFS ..... and WTF is Freddy doing in the middle of the road on his own anyway  🤬🤬

just discussing this with Russ ..

" Another easy target, Birmingham is no go area for cranes. Talking to Dale from Aba crane hire today, he was hire desk for about 25yrs and quit. Their company has over 30 court cases pending for crane infringements. They can’t move cranes after 7am or before 6pm into yard. Easy money for traffic cops. "

How the hell are operators supposed to function FFS with all these arbitrarily imposed 'embargos' that are not on the statute ... just some little jobsworth hitler making it up as he goes along

Not much difference if driving a telehandler or rubber duck along the road with not much more than a 16yo with tractor licence at the helm. Engineering plant surely have to exercise some kind of common sense.
Probably the same people who complain about a loaf of bread costing so much meanwhile they pull over a crane on route to the mill to lift a gearbox out
