Good video that watched it few weeks back...go under that pretty regularly.Fascinating ..
used to be loads of 'em around here and can still recall seeing many operating when i was a kid, but mostly taking spoil uphill to coal tips and obviously powered ... last one I can remember coming down was at Newbridge/Abercarn area ... used to cross the road between the bottom of Hafodyrynys / the Pant and Abercarn
Crumlin viaduct, which can also recall seeing coming down, as a kid, crossed the valley above Hafodyrynys ... pity it couldn't have been saved ... was spectacular ... was used as a location in Arabesque https://live.staticflickr.com/video...kMGYwNzdkOWI1ZDQ1ODEzMDQ2NzY1YmYxYyIsInYiOjF9
was also a film where a biplane flew under it too, but can't recall the name of it ...
was one hell of a structure for the 1850s

correct ... rolled hollow sections whether square, or rectangular, start life as CHS (circular hollow sections), made up from seam welded tube, from flat strip .... CDS however has no seam ... it's Cold Drawn Seamless tube whether it be round, square or rectangular. For anyone wondering why box never has totally flat sides here's your answer, it's round to begin with.
