Dragging it through slime would do zero damage to the tracks, and the guy on the shovel had obviously done that exercise before. I feel sorry for whoever had to wade in and hang the strops on.
too right ..... they do look remarkably clean though, so probably dangled into spot ...... but as said ..... someone must've been up to their nuts in the tish to attach 'em

No i didn't see it. I only found out about it night before and wouldn't have minded going for a look but was far too busy a day to rearrange it. I could and would have if I'd known sooner it only set off a mile and a half from home ffs
Same I'd have nipped up for that.
Said before but worth a trip the farm as well.

Amazing agility. You can see why they get used as combat dogs.

Fascinating ..

used to be loads of 'em around here and can still recall seeing many operating when i was a kid, but mostly taking spoil uphill to coal tips and obviously powered ... last one I can remember coming down was at Newbridge/Abercarn area ... used to cross the road between the bottom of Hafodyrynys / the Pant and Abercarn

Crumlin viaduct, which can also recall seeing coming down, as a kid, crossed the valley above Hafodyrynys ... pity it couldn't have been saved ... was spectacular ... was used as a location in Arabesque https://live.staticflickr.com/video...kMGYwNzdkOWI1ZDQ1ODEzMDQ2NzY1YmYxYyIsInYiOjF9
was also a film where a biplane flew under it too, but can't recall the name of it ...
was one hell of a structure for the 1850s
