same here.. I recon they are passers by who got roped in to earn a quick 10...I don’t know that many people I could count on to turn up!!
Being on the larger side I've got a few builder mates who will pay me a drink to help lift beams if its an awkward one and not easy to use a genie. I don't mind it, its a question of confidence and knowing what you can manage. As for the homemade prop pals looks decent size timber at least?don't waste money stuff such as over the top scaffold and needle props..

just tripped over another impressive pic of the Crumlin ViaductFascinating ..
used to be loads of 'em around here and can still recall seeing many operating when i was a kid, but mostly taking spoil uphill to coal tips and obviously powered ... last one I can remember coming down was at Newbridge/Abercarn area ... used to cross the road between the bottom of Hafodyrynys / the Pant and Abercarn
Crumlin viaduct, which can also recall seeing coming down, as a kid, crossed the valley above Hafodyrynys ... pity it couldn't have been saved ... was spectacular ... was used as a location in Arabesque https://live.staticflickr.com/video...kMGYwNzdkOWI1ZDQ1ODEzMDQ2NzY1YmYxYyIsInYiOjF9
was also a film where a biplane flew under it too, but can't recall the name of it ...
was one hell of a structure for the 1850s

Thats the oneThere was a clown on here a year or two back who was working on an electric dozer that was going to wow everyone in the industry. I think he might have been working on this machine. There was an article in Earthmoveronline today about this, apparently it was built in the UK. So the footprint of a D6, weighs about 30 tonnes, and will push as much as a D9. If you look at the video carefully, they show it “pushing” something like loose clinker. Well, let’s be honest, they don’t show it pushing very much at all.
Space dozer..
And, of course, the Blade Runner will feature state-of-the-art autonomous operating technology
The robots have a union already?“Even if you spend all morning heavy dozing and you’re a bit worried about how much juice you’ve used — well, your operators are going to take a union-mandated lunch break, right?”
yeh remember himThats the one![]()

Think we've found him. Got a feeling I won't be invited for a test drive. Mind you fair play to whoever has put the money up and whoever sold the idea.Hello everyone, I think this may be somewhat of a long shot...
I am working for a startup company designing a new bulldozer! There are a couple of us engineers who, whilst we have experience with other offroad machinery, don't have specific experience with bulldozers! We are trying to find someone/somewhere where we can just come for an hour or so and either just see one working up close or it would be awesome to have a little drive forwards and backwards in one!
Does anyone know anyone with a Bulldozer, preferably in the midlands/northwest area (UK)??!
(preferably in the 25-30 tonne range like a CAT D6, and even more nice to have, one with a V-PAT blade!)
Thanks for any tips/hints!
