Used Volvo EC 27D vs ECR25D

Circa 30k sounds alright to me for a 3t But some are pushing nearer £35k that difference is enough to put me off because not knowing how the used market is going to go over the next few years it could well amount to excessive depreciation. I imagine the bulk of sales for dealers are to larger organisations and plant hire companies etc. With plant hire rates so low I'm surprised it stacks up for them too...
Trouble is I'm keen to upgrade because my main machine is now 15years old and whilst it's problem free at the moment nothing lasts forever, have to say it's not particularly enticing given the choice out there (very little which really ticks all the boxes) AND the cost.

Eurocomach/Case? ....... seem to recall they're now offering VA boom on most of their smaller end m/c,s too ..... be a game changer for you in tight spots

It's tracking and dozing which seems to need the most from an engine. I was going up a very steep slope the other day. Both tracks spinning and just managed to pull myself up with the bucket but boy it needed every last horse.

My ec27d could certainly do with a bit more grunt while tracking, but general digging has plenty of power and is quite lively, never run it at full revs but find its a bit annoying to have to open it up while tracking. The earlier ec27c had a 1600 engine, shame that couldn't be combined with the latest hydraulic system of the d series machine, probably doesn't conform to the necessary emissions regs.
