Pipes not crimped properly (E19, brand new, all the oil gone within a mornings work). Tank servo connection weeping on the E27. Main pump hose on the E27 popping off, dumping all the oil next to a stream. Common problem according to the mechanic- no service update for it! Mine is still wearing the chog of birch I cut with a chainsaw to jam between the pipe and a weld gusset when I fixed it in the field.
You're missing one key thing though, they can at the moment. End of the day they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay and as long as the machines which are coming into the country are selling manufacturer is happy.
Supply shortages are pretty much over as far as I can see. Loads of new stock being advertised all over facebook etc.

It's nowt to do with supply shortages though, it's just demand if they can get 5k over the odds for a digger and they are selling plenty they will. They are not here for our benefit.
I get that, but as evidenced here and eslewhere, they are not getting that for it. My original point was that I don't know why they are shooting themselves in the foot by asking for it!
I can't answer that but it likely isn't causing them any problems so far otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. Is it bobcat or the dealers doing it?
It was leaking oil from somewhere on the rotary coupling - not a lot (but shouldn’t be any). Seems to have stopped now though - must have spun it around enough the other way!….

3800. But hard hours! The old one I had was still ok at 5500hrs when I sold it but smoke was becoming oilier and the slew was getting a tad rough too.
Hard work is what they are built for as long as its hard work and not ROUGH. mostly comes down to how you've looked after it and whether you're grease gun has had a flat battery for the last 15 years. I've just done 4k hour service on my tb240 this week and have no intention of changing it for a long while yet. It would need to be a hell of a deal to even consider it. I don't see any reason it won't do another 4k tbh though i might not keep it that long we'll see. One advantage i have mind is that it's still a current up to date machine and its a lot cheaper to run than a 100 series taki.
Yeah exactly, a lot more modern than the 100 series. Surprised you say it's cheaper to run though. I've only replaced a few hoses and a set of tracks in the 6 years I've had mine. Other than that no issues. Here's madness for you. I remember the halycon days of 2018 getting quoted £32k for a TB240 (I had a little multipurpose dump trailer back then). Dread to think what they are now.
It needs to be a 230 to match up to what he has now and they are technically too heavy to tow or at least very borderline. Would be very nice though, proper size cab, a/c, refuelling pump etc as standard.

Yeah. The TB230 is what I want really. Could actually get near enoughtowing it with one of these light weight trailers and buckets either in the tow vehicle or taken with the dumper etc. But yeah borderline for sure
