I like the look of the new defenders and I'd love a Range Rover but I'd not want very regular meetings with the service manager at my local dealer ship.
nick...
I weren't too keen on the look of it before it came out, but seeing them about they look great. Beside the cost and the usual questionable lr reliability but to be fair all vehicles are expensive these days

4.5 years and two 110s in not had one fault apart from a recall for a coolant hose guard early on on first one.
Sips a bit of coolant apart from that hassle free.
My theory is because it's not made in UK 😂

having struggled recently in some tight farm yards and turn backs where the farmers old 90 and cattle trailer can get and I was taking 4 shunts with pickup and 14' Ifor on an incredibly steep track can see a real advantage to a shorter tow vehicle like a 90 on air but to much currently, must be what 800 a month on pcp or finance unless dropping 65k outright

serious amount of wedge for a vehicle and struggle to see how anyone can reconcile that level of expenditure on one, especially if it's not an earner .... vehicle prices have just spiralled out of all proportion to income :(

top of the range amorak is 56k plus vat now I think or was, pretty bonkers cost wise if you think few years ago a new np300 naval was 27k with 3 years interest free

Yep our dealer had the last one. They have in stock in the showroom yesterday and was about that 56k. . Big uptick since I bought mine. Crazy.
To be fair, I can't imagine any pickup manufacturer ever bothering to sell to the UK again.

Great, mines on full air suspension which makes a big difference , levels itself up etc. I ‘only’ went for the D250 but that’s plenty for a work van 😂
Is the air suspension an option? Seen a few vids where they drop the suspension then drive under the hitch and just jack the suspension up again.
Is yours used as a work van

Half a dozen old bangers works for me. That leaves more cash to spend on the kit that makes a return (and depreciates at a third of the rate of a vehicle)

One of my old girls earning her keep today.
