Truck brakes

Brake pad light was on so had new pads fitted - was worn on one side much worse than other but calipers were fine. today it got hot on one side but not on the other, hard to diagnose as 90% of tile is fine, sees to coincide with a quietish noise in cab that is silenced when you activate park lightly, strange one,I'm guessing there is a leak that is causing pad to engage a bit, but doesn't struggle to keep air up.

Anyone come across this? Suppose it will be a case of finding when it splits to a side and checking from there back, not much idea when it comes to truck brake circuits.

His will be full air.

Not sure anything has been air over oil since the iveco eurocargo.

Where the calipers ok on the slide? They should move easily by hand. I`m fairly sure they use a Knorr Bremse caliper, and the slides are a poor idea, the bigger slide usually than has a tin cover give no trouble as its a bronze bush, the other slide that some times has a plastic cap, or you can see the allen bolt and end of the slide runs in a bonded rubber bush, this bush gets moisture between the rubber and the steel shell, corrodes and swells the rubber enough to grip the slide, this is usually the cause of uneven wear, and can cause a brake to run hot.
Overhaul kits are available, I keep a kit on the shelve because of the problem.

Otherwise choke the wheels and let the hand brake off, a leak bad enough to bind the brakes should be easy enough to here.

Roller test was ok.... binding seems intermittent.

I will see if I can hear any leaks
