bit of an odd one, had a tyre shred itself to pieces and probably need another couple soon anyway. original tyres are security tr603 in a 195/50r13c any recommendations for an alternative tire

Not really a great selection of tyres available in that size with 104 weight rating, 104 seems to be the highest weight rating for trailer tyres at 900kg a corner
Getting a maxxis trailermaxx fitted tomorrow for the spare

I found with the ifor trailers that you can replace wheel & tyre for not much more than cost of just tyre.
Brian James want £170 per wheel, couple of places online seem to be around £100 but with some even more obscure budget ditch finder on it, although to be fair it's a trailer tire so only gets dragged rather than driven but still at 90 psi would prefer something decent

I wouldn’t scrimp on those high-pressure low-profile jobbies. We bought a load of budget tyres for a plant trailer and they blew-out for fun.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
give Meredith and Eyre a look .. don't know if they do the size, but I could never beat them for tyre and wheel prices ... locals struggled to supply just a tyre for what they could supply the complete assembly for
just looked and they list them

Mike Carsons used to be the sales manager there and was always very efficient to deal with

Kenda Kargos have always served me well on my trailers.
Change them every 5 years regardless of wear ;)
They work hard running at 95psi with 3500kgs on 4 x tyres.
After each run I run a hand over each one to make sure they don't get too hot
Latest ones are 195/50 R13C Kenda Mastertrail 3G 104/102N KR101 Trailer :geek:

No idea what sort of temperature a trailer wheel should get too, might be worth giving mine a service.
Original tyres were security ones not sure if BJ have changed supplier or not

Give Andrew Liverseed a call on +44 7800 996357 - he sorted me out with a new set of wheels and tyres for an Ifor super-cheap (and he’s a really decent bloke too).

Look on camskill about £45 inc vat
Was on there earlier worked out at £200 with postage plus day or so for delivery, local tyre fitter able to get them in later this evening and fitted for around £260.
Worst thing is, that was the spare that's only been on a few months and the trailer only had an electric mixer and 80kg Wacker on it

Original security tyre that came on the trailer, the trailer is a little over 4 years old although no idea on the tyre age. Was surprised when it went pop

That's a bugger
Could it have been an object in the carriageway to have caused that amount of damage?
Other than that keep an eye on yer date codes - you know my views on plant trailer tyres.
They are shite and have to work too hard :p
