Mate of mine just got a little flail on his 030 Kubota..... can the ability to track and flail be improved without it becoming a big job ?
No put simply imo. Trouble with flails and other similar attachments is that to be any use you have to buy one which uses maximum available aux flow and that leaves no or very little spare flow for anything else let alone tracking.Mate of mine just got a little flail on his 030 Kubota..... can the ability to track and flail be improved without it becoming a big job ?
Strap a beaver to it? Must have been done ..or something similar ?No put simply imo. Trouble with flails and other similar attachments is that to be any use you have to buy one which uses maximum available aux flow and that leaves no or very little spare flow for anything else let alone tracking.
Remember seeing something similar a few years backStrap a beaver to it? Must have been done ..or something similar ?
Or possibly a priority valve. But spending thousands for still not much of a machine for cutting hedges or flailing banksYou need a machine which has a dedicated auxiliary hydraulic pump so the flow is not shared with anything else, only the flail or other attachment.
You’d need a 30l/min beaver at least. Even then not much cop. A 2.7t aux is around 50lpm but this dips considerably as soon as you move the arm let alone track.Remember seeing something similar a few years back
Priority valves are fairly common on machines to begin with. When you look at the marketing side of machines there's all manner of different pump setups, single, twin, dedicated aux pumps etc. In reality max aux flow usually combines flows to a degree at the very least and thats without getting into pipe sizing and engine size.Or possibly a priority valve. Or mecalacAs gaz said, no. Unless you buy a menzi
Now then....mog?Short of an extra engine and pump with own cooler and oil tank mounted on rear or a trailer towed on dozer blade and long umbilical pipes no is the answer
Cradle that contains engine and pump that hooks over the dozer bladeNow then....mog?
He's got enough sticking out the back already without a load more at the frontCradle that contains engine and pump that hooks over the dozer blade
