Tiltrotator build

I recently exchange my old mini digger to do some work around our small farm.
Been working on putting a tilty on it.

welcome Boyo ... only bits of Surrey i know reasonably well are around Hindhead/Haslemere/Hogs Back sort of areas ... used to be a nice part of the world .. dare sat it's changed ..... a lot !!

Hindhead is a bit nicer since they built the tunnel under it for the A3.

Im currently still building the tilty, just tested the rotator all seems ok with plenty of speed

Its in my back garden at the moment pulling out some sizeable tree stumps Its a 100hr 8026.

Ive used the gear from another one and then built the new enclosure from steel. I was concerned about welding to the original cast enclosure.
Still got the complete larger one

you obviously have access to some nice machining facilities ... you lucky chap
think those chinky jobbies are cast steel though aren't they ?? not black iron

They've told me they are iron but I do suspect they are cast steel, I'm not a welder so not tried to weld it.
I did notice the guy on youtube attempting to weld an Engcon and that is cast steel and he didn't have much luck with it..

I do have a question about how to run the hydraulics, should I post here or start a new thread?

This thread is good mate, it's not strict here. Threads derail totally all the time, so by our standards a question about the hydraulics would be very much on topic

Ok so here goes. My hydraulic knowledge is very limited and my terminology will most likely be way off..

I currently have one proportional aux control via foot pedal or right joystick. (A push button on the left stick changes from one to the other)
For the tilt rotator my plan is to mount a couple of proportional valves on a two station manifold to the tilty and supply the manifold via the current aux circuit.
I have installed a roller button to the left joystick which will control the rotate prop valve, and the right roller will control tilt prop valve. A switch/controller will disable the current right roller function (Aux) to enable use for tilt function only.

My question is what would be the best way to supply fluid to the manifold? (I have assumed this needs to be constant from P to T)

I have moved the whole thread and changed it to tiltrotator build. I am happy to change it back if you wish, or change the tittle to whatever you like. Looks like some skill you have
